Success At Something Wild

A huge thank you to those who attended our ‘Something Wild’ evening at the Royal Geographical Society on 24 November. It proved to be a highly entertaining evening with the one and only Paul Goldstein presenting a selection of dazzling photographs from his travels this year along with TV presenter Chris Packham, who gave Paul a run for his money with his own stunning collection of images taken in the UK and abroad.

A healthy five figure sum was raised and the proceeds will be distributed amongst several of our current projects, namely the Leopards of Yala project in Sri Lanka, Kiya Survivors in Peru, Tijhza Village Project in Morocco and the Chikumbi Community Centre in Zambia. Thanks to you, this money will enable us to do the following:

  • Buy five more steel cattle pens to protect the cattle that fall prey to Yala’s young leopards

  • Fund the Rainbow Centre in the Sacred Valley for an entire month

  • Enable the building of a hammam to go ahead in the Tijhza Valley, Morocco

  • Provide two more boreholes in Chikumbi, Zambia

Once again, many, many thanks for your continued support. Here are some of the pictures from the evening.
