Previous update from 22 February 2011

We are happy to say that, as this morning, the FCO have now changed their advice in regards to Egypt, and have lifted all restrictions on travel to the country.

The update states:

We no longer advise against all but essential travel to Cairo (all four governorates, including Giza), Alexandria, and Suez.  There are no restrictions in this travel advice on travel to Egypt.

As such, we can now confirm that we will be running all our Egypt trips as planned. We have spoken to our local operators this morning and they have confirmed all transport, banks and tourist sites are open and operating as normal.

There is still advice in place against travel for clients travelling from the US and Canada and we have contacted all affected overseas agents this morning with clients travelling in the next 2 weeks to explain their options. If you have not heard from Exodus regarding this, please contact us as below.

We do appreciate it must have been stressful for any clients booked to travel and waiting for a final decision, but hope you can now look forward to what will be a fantastic holiday.

If you have any questions in the meantime, please call our Customer Operations team on 0845 863 9643 or email customerops@exodus.co.uk.
