Winter Snow Conditions

Here we are, the New Year and now entering the best part of the winter season: days getting longer, solid snow cover and extra powder thanks to the recent snowfall… It is time to book your winter holiday if you haven’t already done so!

So here is a little update on the snow conditions in some of the regions where Exodus takes you.

Poland
In Krynica where we run our snowshoeing trip (Trip Code: CVP) we have a steady 35 to 75cm. It has been cloudy lately and with low temperatures and more snow on forecast, we should have some fantastic conditions for the next departures. Another reason to take advantage of the 20th February special offer: free excursion to Auschwitz on the last day!

Sklarska Poreba has very similar conditions, but with up to 1 metre of snow! Ideal for our Winter Activity Week (CVK).

Slovakia
In Zdiar, where our Tatra Winter Activity Week takes place, the reports are good too: around 45cm of nice powder on average, up to 1 metre in Štrbské Pleso, and some possible snowfalls this weekend.

Valle D'Aosta

Cogne, called the “queen of cross country skiing ski resorts” by the Italians, boasts up to 1 meter of snow with more snow announced for this weekend. With 75km of loipe open, it is the cross country skiing trip to book!

Norway

Kvitavatn should see a couple of days of snowfall before a sunny weekend, and we currently have up to 70cm of snow on the ground.

Finland and The Icehotel

Very low temperatures in Finland and Sweden down to –25 degrees in some places). More snow is expected in Jukkasjarvi, on top of the current snow cover. Both destinations have perfect conditions at the moment whether you want to go skiing, dogsledding, snowmobiling…

The Dolomites

The Dolomites have been blessed with fantastic early snowfalls this season, and after a short “dry spell” a staggering 50cm is expected in the next week or so in the area!
