Winter Snow Conditions

The January blues have arrived! Last Monday was officially the most depressing day of the year and here at Exodus we feel there is no better way to beat this than booking an amazing holiday! Winter is not over yet, there’s plenty of snow out there and we still have trips available; why not book yourself a nice winter break and enjoy the great outdoors in one of our fantastic destinations?

In the Dolomites, it is cold and sunny with 60cm of cover at 1700m. Some icy tracks have been reported but the snow is making a comeback. Karl, our leader in Villabassa, has reported heavy snowfalls in the last few days, bringing great powder for snowshoeing or cross-country skiing.

Also in Italy, the Valle D'Aosta is still reporting great snow, with up to 100cm in Cogne. There is plenty of sunshine out there and the cold temperatures are maintaining this great snow cover, so the conditions are at their best to enjoy a week of sliding through the countryside.

Days are getting longer in Norway and, with a recent addition of fresh powder, the conditions are still great at both Kvitavatn and Rondablikk, and sunny weather is forecast for next week.

In Chamonix too great snow conditions await, with solidly packed snow, maintained by the cold temperatures. The forecast also promises sun all week: an ideal combination.
