Storm Brings Northern Lights to Britain

Britons may be able to witness the celestial phenomenon of the Aurora Borealis over the next few nights.

This rare opportunity has been brought on by a large solar storm, as particles from the sun ‘slam’ into the atmosphere. This violent eruption from the sun is the most powerful in four years.

Fingers crossed the skies over Britain are clear this evening to witness this spectacle, but in the highly unlikely event that there will be low visibility (Britain’s never cloudy is it?!)… you can go a bit further afield to view this incredible natural light display.

Exodus offers a variety of trips with opportunities to view the Northern Lights. The best locations for sightings lie in the wide ring that follows the Arctic Circle - including places such as Iceland, Greenland, Northern Norway, Sweden, Finland, Canada and Alaska.
