Jonathan Scott And The Truth About Lions

Following on from ‘Big Cat Diaries’, Jonathan Scott’s new series will be discovering ‘The Truth About Lions’. Set in Kenya, the first installment of this two-part mini series will debut this evening on BBC 2, with the final episode on 30th March 2011.

The series will follow the lion species and travel deeper inside the pride than ever before with accounts from the people who really understand them.

The team, led by renowned wildlife photographer Jonathan Scott, has tracked lions over the course of a year in order to monitor how they interact with other animals and how their behaviour changes from the dry to the wet season.

Exodus' Paul Goldstein has worked with Jonathan Scott in Kenya and Antarctica and runs his own Kenyan safaris at his own camp where people return year after year.

"A trip that more than filled expectations.  Almost all of the time is spent out of camp experiencing the environment.  Everyone involved seems to have one aim to make sure that every guest gets fantastic sightings, great photographic opportunities, and when in camp, first class food and a welcoming atmosphere" [Ralph Snook, Photographic Safari Kenya].

The Masai Mara is the most prolific wilderness on the planet. Fact. Jonathan Scott has spent much of his life there. He has guided Exodus photographic groups many times always from Exodus' Paul Goldstein's own camp where Paul also does photo safaris from. Many of Paul's guests return year after year and this year is no exception. Currently there are a handful of places left in July for those wanting some long days on the plains.
