Travel to Syria

Updated: 12th May 2011
Exodus are following the events very closely and will always follow the current Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) advice, which currently advises against all essential travel to the country (updated 12th April).

We do not have any groups in Syria at the moment.

We have cancelled all trips due to depart until September 2011. Any clients affected by these cancellations will have been contacted already to discuss their bookings.

For anyone travelling in May and June, we are offering the option of a free transfer to an alternative Exodus holiday departing any time before the 30th of September 2011. If you are due to travel between these dates and would now like to look at alternatives, please contact our Customer Operations team.

If you are due to travel after May or June, please note that we are not currently proposing to review the operations of any trips more than 3 weeks before departure. Therefore those wishing to transfer to an alternative holiday should note that normal booking conditions still apply.

If you have any questions in the meantime, please call our Customer Operations team on 0845 863 9643 or email customerops@exodus.co.uk.

Our Policy on Travel Security

Our overall policy towards security advice from the FCO is shown below:
• We will always follow FCO advice, and we will not operate tours to areas where the advice is against all non-essential travel. Where we cancel tours for this reason, passengers will be offered a transfer to an alternative tour, or a full refund.
• Decisions about when to cancel upcoming tours are made on a rolling basis, as the advice can change at any time. Where the advice for a country is temporarily against all non-essential travel, we will not normally cancel tours more than 2 weeks before the date of travel.
• The safety of our clients is always our highest concern, and we will continue to monitor the situation. Updates will be added to this web page as and when they become available.
