None to go!

On Sunday 17th April Paul Goldstein completed the London Marathon in 6 hours 12 minutes and 4 seconds. Fellow ‘four marathons runner’ Terry Coates and ‘two timer’ Andrew Appleyard finished a few seconds ahead of him.

Just before the halfway point, Paul was interviewed by Olympic gold medallist Denise Lewis. How he managed to conduct a coherent interview whilst running is still a mystery!

Massive thanks to everyone who supported Paul and the team in their marathon madness. Thank you to those who lined the route, those who sent in pictures and sightings of the tiger in action and those who have donated to the Worth More Alive II fund. Paul has been overwhelmed by the generosity of supporters; the total raised so far is just shy of £18,500 and donations are still pouring in. He has also been touched by the comments emailed in and left on the Just Giving site:

“Paul: fantastic effort x four!! Well done and enjoy a rest now. Our tiger sightings (real ones!!) we'll remember forever.”
Hazel and Richard

“Utter respect to you Paul. I too am lucky enough to have seen a tiger in the wild in India & conserving them for others & themselves is paramount.”
Jane Morley-Davis

“I listened to your interview on Tower Bridge and was overwhelmed with emotion at the prospect of losing the tiger. You are doing a wonderful thing.”
Claire-Marie Cornford

A full report (marathon men) plus extras package will be online later this week and covered in the April edition of Episodes e-newsletter.
