Plan your travel to Gatwick and Heathrow on Sunday, 14 August 2011

Clients due to travel this Sunday 14th August should note that if you are heading by road to Heathrow or Gatwick airports, you should be prepared for possible severe disruption as several highways, will be closed or heavily restricted due to the Olympic test event, the London-Surrey Cycle Classic bike race. It is likely that major roads, including the M25, M23 and M3 will experience high levels of congestion as a result of the road closures.

The 140km road race will start in central London and travel in a loop via Richmond Park, Hampton Court and Box Hill to Surrey and back.

Affected roads will be closed for the majority of Sunday. Tube services will be running, but they could be busier than usual.

Further details from Transport for London can be found here: http://www.tfl.gov.uk/gettingaround/20027.aspx
