Summit About Tigers
14th March 2012
Most of you might be aware of the fact that our esteemed expert in Wildlife and Photography, Paul Goldstein, is donning his terrific Tiger Suit once more.
In 2010 Paul ran four marathons in one week. We all thought he was crazy. Of course knowing of the cause and his passions made it seem a little less mad, but running over one hundred miles in a heavy 9ft Tiger suit is still something to believed. We didn’t think he would do it again, let alone go one further. But this is Paul Goldstein. He is a strong willed believer in the protection of this cherished striped predator. And he will run again.
So it’s 2012; two years after his second incredulous campaign. The tiger suit is being dusted off, running shoes sprayed with Febreeze, and muscles stretched once more. The Brighton Marathon, Kilimanjaro summit and London Marathon are on this year’s menu. And like 2010 – all in one week!!
You’ve got to be made of pretty special stuff to be able to do all that in a week… IN A 9FT TIGER SUIT! And that he is. This is Paul’s journey for the tiger in 2012 and he’s been training hard. Even with an injured ankle he’s dedicated. And so are we. We are supporting Paul in his Journey to Brighton, Tanzania and London. We’ll be with him every step of the way. And we hope you will too.
We’d love it if you could join us in our support for the man and his Tiger. So if you live in Brighton, come down on the 15th April and look out for him, cheer for him, and whatever you do… take a photo! The same goes for London on the 22nd April. And just so you know we’re going to be donating ‘£1 for tiger found’ every time you tell us you’ve seen the tiger, and £2 for every photo sent in to us. So get your iPhones out, snap away and upload to Facebook, Twitter or send them in via email. Every penny counts in this campaign!
However, before he dons the suit and slips into his ever familiar running shoes, he’ll be presenting the very reason he puts his body through all this (inevitable) pain. As in 2010, Paul will be hosting an evening at the prestigious Royal Geographical Society. The aim is to raise as much money as possible. Tigers need tourism and most importantly the projects need money. So this year, we’ll be holding another auction where so many partners have been generous enough to donate very special lots. With opportunities to bid on holidays, very special equipment and amazing photographs, you need to be there. This is how we begin the fight for 2012. And we need you on board. So if you want to be part of this important tiger fight – where tigers are always Worth More Alive, click here for the details on how you can get your hands on a ticket to this event.
We really hope to see you there and cannot wait to see all your photos of our man in his tiger suit!
To keep up to date on everything 'tiger' keep an eye on our news items as we'll be updating them all the time.
