The home of the fabled All Blacks is a very long way away, yet this remarkable country offers diversity that very few others come close to. From the bustling city of Auckland to the breathtaking South Island the country is blessed with countless natural wonders and no shortage of man made ones. New Zealand is best seen by boat, on foot and by vehicle, and sights like Milford Sound, Ruapehu, Tongariro Crossing and Mt Cook are as impressive as anywhere in the world. South Island, and Queenstown in particular, is the adventure capital of the Southern Hemisphere. Every activity from rafting, bungee, skydiving, paragliding, gorge swinging, heli-skiing and trekking is available. New Zealand is an active country and a beautiful one and well worth the long flight there.
