Why is it important?
You need to be sure that you’re dealing with a reputable company. Our name and good reputation are synonymous but you don’t need to simply take out word for it; below is a list of the organisations we have affiliations with, have accredited us, given us awards, or simply think we’re the best:
Exodus is fully licensed and bonded as a tour operator. We hold Air Traffic Organisers License (ATOL) number 2582 issued and bonded with the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). We are also bonded to the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and we are members of the Federation of Tour Operators (FTO) and ABTA - The Travel Association. This means you can book your school adventure with us in confidence , as all monies paid to us for your trip are fully protected. Exodus is a member of the TUI Travel plc group of companies.
Exodus is a corporate member of the RGS, which is the largest and most active scholarly geographical society in the world. It is an independent organisation with a strong reputation for quality and dynamism. Founded in 1830, they are a world centre for geography: supporting research, education, expeditions and fieldwork, and promoting public engagement and informed enjoyment of our world.
We are proud to be members of The Council for Learning Outside the Classroom, the leading national voice championing high quality and varied educational experiences for children and young people. Launched as a registered charity in 2009, it aims, as do we, to champion learning outside the classroom and encourage young people to get out and about because research shows that children learn best through real life experiences.
The YET is a national charity dedicated to promoting safe and responsible expeditions for young people. It does this by providing advice and support to schools, youth organizations, commercial expedition providers and groups of friends who intend to run their own youth expedition.
Exodus is a member of the Young Explorers’ Trust, a forum of youth expedition organisations that meet to ensure that all such organisations meet the minimum standards necessary for the safe and effective delivery of youth expeditions overseas.
Exodus is a member of EPA, a federation of reputable expedition providers who cater specifically for young adults under 25 in full time education. EPA is an autonomous sub-committee within YET - the Young Explorers' Trust – its wide ranging activities include sharing
and documenting best practise; the collective establishment of an industry standard; developing criteria for provider accreditation; and negotiation with other industry standards bodies, NGOs and Government departments.
Exodus has launched an exciting partnership with The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. Both organisations are passionate believers in delivering memorable experiences to their clients and participants - Exodus through groundbreaking Adventure Travel itineraries and the DofE through their innovative programme of awards. As the DofE Recommended Adventure Travel partner we will be working with them to enhance our fabulous range of family adventure holidays.
