Exodus’ new TrekPrep weekends are perfect preparation for anyone with their heart set on the summit of Kilimanjaro or determined to make it to Everest Base Camp. Learn the trade secrets for a successful summit, get a feel for the camaraderie on the trail and make sure you’re in tip top shape for departure day. Or, if you’re not sure whether these iconic treks are for you, this is a cost-effective way to find out if you’ll enjoy a longer adventure.

Over and above any of the other advantages of these treks, they’re great fun. Getting outdoors for some proper hill walking is the best preparation there is – no gym session can replicate it. Use the right muscles, get used to all your gear and ultimately make sure you’re in the right mind-set for an upcoming adventure!

We’re running two TrekPrep weekends for people considering tackling the Roof of Africa. Kilimanjaro is a trekking icon, but it has to be taken seriously – people do lose their lives attempting the summit incorrectly.  Exodus has one of the highest success rates on the mountain and use two lesser-known routes, as well as offering a dedicated Porter Education Programme to actively train and promote their welfare.
