Worth More Alive III - Two Marathons - One Mountain - one Event...
Award-winning wildlife photographer, guide and Exodus stalwart Paul Goldstein is embarking on an extraordinary journey...
In April he will run the Brighton Marathon, then fly to Tanzania with his 9ft tiger suit in tow to trek Kilimanjaro (5,895m) and then he will return to the big smoke to run the London Marathon - all in one week and all in the name of raising money and awareness for the plight of the Bengal tiger. Alongside him on the mountain will be Kili veteran Jim Eite - between them they have successfully summited 50 times. Paul running in last year's London Marathon with the tiger
Tigers matter to Exodus. They matter to Paul. If they matter to you too, the good news is you can join Paul as he scales Africa's highest mountain. This special eight-day departure runs from 13th - 21st April 2012. Click here to read more about on this admirable charity climb and book your place on the roof of Africa.
Name the Peak to Win!
Name the Peak
Our first Name the Peak winner is William Bain who correctly answered Annapurna 1. Congratulations William – you have won a £100 Exodus Adventure voucher.
This time we are giving away subscriptions to Country Walking magazine for ten lucky winners. Read the clue and if you think you can identify the peak above, email us with your answer and we'll pick the winners from all the correct entries received by 31st December 2011.
Clue: Imposing and desolate, the ascent of this giant is non-technical and as such we offer it as a trekking peak. At the summit, the amount of air in each lungful is 40% lower than at sea level. As the highest peak in two hemispheres, altitude is the greatest challenge.
