Is anyone else scared yet?

Hi, anybody else out there that's booked on this trip? I've just had my "it's 2 months to go" email, which

is a bit scary and very exciting. It would be good to hear how anyone else is doing.

Nerves kicking in now and news of terrorists in Niarobi is'nt helping. Never done anything like this before, highest i've been is Ben Nevis. Anybody know how many in group?.

SISSONS

Yep. Feeling a bit apprehensive. Just about to go through the packing to see what bits and pieces we still need to buy. We have done lots of alpine walking but nothing quite like this. Where are you guys flying from?

SueJB

I think I'm almost there as far as kit goes, just a few small items to go. I live in Brighton, how about you?

SueJB

Sorry, I meant to answer your question, flying from Heathrow on Weds evening, what about you?

SISSONS

We live in the Isle of Man. It sounds as is we are on the same flight. Not sure we will recognise you unless you have an Exodus luggage label or bag. Are you travelling alone? It looks at the moment as if there are just 4 of us unless there is anyone who hasn't been on this forum.

SueJB

It does seem like it's a small group, unless everyone else doesn't use social media ;-) Yes it's just me, I do have my Exodus luggage label, so we could look out for that at the airport.
I'll probably be at Heathrow around 4ish, so if you fancy meeting up before boarding let me know and we can arrange a suitable spot.
Fergy, if you're on the same flight would you want to meet up first?

SISSONS

My mobile is 07624 319902. We will be checking in at about 5. Perhaps we can text to arrange a meet up point.
I think a small group is better for summit day. I have heard it can be hard work with a large group of mixed abilities!

SueJB

Ok, my mobile number is 07563 341551. I thought there had to be more than 4 in the group for it to go ahead, but maybe not, as you say a small group might be good. See you next week.

Hi there fellow travellers, I'm from Glasgow so I'm flying from here so we'll not meet up till Nairobi. This is the fist time i've done anything like this, heighest i've ever been is Ben Nevis. Loking forward to meeting you. Colin.
