TND - Everest in Luxury Departure October 23nd

Would love to hear from anybody going on this trip, particularly anybody interested in the possibility of a sightseeing flight around Everest.

Hi there, my wife and I are booked on this trip. Really looking forward to it!

Would be good to hear about any recommendations for clothing and equipment that we should take.

Cheers,
Roddy

We would also like any recommendations - looks like a lot of people do the Everest Base Camp trek and I would guess the weather and terrain will be similar but not so high.  Have you done any other treking holidays?

cheers freeasair1,

This will be our first trekking holiday- how about you? You're probably right about the conditions for the Everest base camp trek being similar, I'll check out those threads too.

Hi freeasair, would LOVE to do an Everest sightseeing flight trip!! How much $$$ are we talking about? I will be arriving in Kathmandu one day early, but departing the same day as the group.

Hi Roddy, wow, exciting to do this as your first trekking trip! My top Kit tip is to get a decent hiking rucksack for your daypack, one that is somewhere between 25 and 40 litres capacity, depending on how much stuff you want to carry with you. Make sure it has a good waist band to take the weight and is structured so it sits away from your back creating a bit of airflow. T-shirts that "wick" away moisture are excellent, and several thin layers are most effective at keeping warm and easier to carry when not wearing.

Cheers
Jemma
