vietnam money

Any suggestions where is best to get currency for Vietnam and also an idea of how much to take initially.

We were advised to take a mixture of US dollars as they are accepted plus can change when there.

Hope that helps - I spoke to an Exodus advisor which is very helpful.

Yes, I can confirm that the best way is to bring US Dollars. This currency is widely accepted in Vietnam. Sometimes, when paying in US Dollars, you will be given change in local Dongs, so it's worth to check the exchange rate before you go.

Also, I would suggest bringing a bank card. ATM's, again, are widely available all over the country. In this way, you will not have to carry too much cash on you, but withdraw whenever you need. If you will use your card, please make sure your bank is aware. That will prevent your card being blocked.

If you would like to talk to me about this, or anything else regarding your trip, my direct line is 0208 772 39230208 772 3923. I have visited Vietnam last year, so can help with any questions regarding trips around this beautiful country.
