Itinerary Include flights Leave this field blank Expand all Carpentras to Roussillon Fly to Marseille; transfer to Carpentras From Marseille airport we take a private bus directly to Carpentras where we stay for the next 3 nights at the 3* family run Hotel Best Western Comtadin, in an 18th century Provençal-style building with modern rooms. It is only 5 mins walk to the village of Carpentras. In the evening our guide will hold a welcome meeting to discuss the week ahead, give advice on the local area and answer any questions. Day 1 Start Carpentras Start at the Hotel Best Western Comtadin in Carpentras. Day 2 Loop ride – Beaumes de Venise – Dentelles de Montmirail Today we cycle along the canal of Carpentras, pass through lovely vineyards and with splendid views of Dentelles de Montmirail. Meals included: Breakfast Day 3 Loop Ride – Cycle the foot of Mont Ventoux We cycle through many different cultivated fields, brimming with strawberries, asparagus and vineyards. We will also see the giant Mont Ventoux in the background during our journey. Today we visit the villages of Bedoin, Mormoiron and the old 12th century fortified town of Mazan. Meals included: Breakfast Day 4 Carpentras to Lumieres – ride of the fountain villages. We visit beautiful villages like Pernes les Fontaines which is home to more than 40 ancient fountains, and Fontaine de Vaucluse, which is most famous for being the town where the source of the Sorgue River is located. We also pass through L’isle sur Sorgue, known as the island town of Provence and stop at some beautiful view points on the way. We also visit an olive oil mill during our ride. We arrive at the 3* Hostellerie Notre Dame Des Lumieres, built in an old monastery with swimming pool and large park where we can relax. Meals included: Breakfast Day 5 Lumières to Roussillon Today we will pass by the most iconic villages of Provence, including Menerbes, Lacoste and Bonnieux, with amazing views at the foot of Luberon and Mont Ventoux in the background. We will taste some local goat cheese during our ride. Then pass by the town of Apt before we arrive at ou hotel for the next three nights. Meals included: Breakfast Day 6 Free day in Roussillon Today is free to either relax or enjoy the local Thursday market day or visit the Ochres site and museum. Meals included: Breakfast Day 7 Gordes and Senanque abbaye If there is only one village to visit in Provence it has to be Gordes. It is a magnificent perched village, where many movie stars and artists have made their home. From here we continue our journey to Senanque, a splendid 12th century Cistercian abbey which you can visit (optional). Meals included: Breakfast Day 8 End Carpentras. Following breakfast we say our goodbyes. Meals included: Breakfast Transfer to Marseille; fly to London. Following breakfast we transfer to Marseille airport to catch our flight. Meals included: Breakfast
