Itinerary Expand all Naples to Naples Day 1 Get acquainted with Amalfi. Finish the day with an Italian aperitivo Ciao Italia! On arrival at Naples airport, you’ll join a group transfer to whisk you to Amalfi. They usually depart at 11 am and 7 pm (please confirm timings upon booking). Or if your flight doesn’t fit with those timings, you can make your own way to the hotel. Home for the next four nights is Hotel Centrale. It’s in the heart of Amalfi, overlooking the Piazza Duomo. Join an orientation tour to get your bearings of this pretty town and learn a little about its historic centre. You’ll be taken to a scenic spot for an aperitivo before you decide whether you want to join in the group dinner or make your own plans. Day 2 Go kayaking, then visit clifftop Ravello After a rooftop breakfast, you’ll spend the morning exploring by kayak. You’ll paddle under striking rock arches and into mysterious sea caves. There are a few hours in the afternoon to spend as you wish. Drinking coffee and people-watching in Amalfi’s piazzas is time well spent. And it’ll trump your usual coffee break. Later, you’ll take a private bus to the clifftop town of Ravello. It’s up to you to decide whether you want to venture inside Villa Cimbrone with its elegant gardens and sea views. Or you can wander the town’s piazzas and lanes. Next, there’s a visit to a local limoncello factory, with an opportunity to sample this zesty beverage made with the famous local lemons. Decide whether you would like to join your group and leader for an aperitif and alfresco dinner in one of Ravello’s terraced restaurants before travelling back to Amalfi for the night. Meals included: Breakfast Day 3 Swim and snorkel en route to swanky Capri Slip on your sunglasses – after breakfast, you’re joining the Amalfi Coast’s glitterati on an a boat trip to Capri. As you glide towards the island, there are views of Praiano, Positano, Punta Campanella and Li Galli. Complimentary soft drinks are served onboard. The boat will moor at Faraglioni Rocks where you can swim in the pristine waters. Back on board, you’ll continue to Marina Grande where you’ll have four hours to explore Capri unguided. Decide to take the chairlift up Monte Solaro to catch the views or wander around the villas and gardens. A bit of window shopping in the opulent boutiques might give you the motivation you need to work for next year’s bonus… Meals included: Breakfast Day 4 Hike the Path of the Gods to glorious Positano After breakfast, you’ll take a half-hour journey uphill and inland to Agerola. Today you’ll be walking the Sentiero Degli Dei or Path of the Gods. It’s considered one of the best trails in the world, with sensational views. The 10km route boasts far-reaching views of the Amalfi Coast and the glittering ocean. Lunch is served in a hut that clings to the cliffside. Expect a spread of local tomatoes, mozzarella, meats, freshly squeezed orange juice and lemonade. The final section leads down a series of steps into glorious Positano. Here you’ll have time to explore the alleyways or a take a post-walk dip in the sea. You’ll take the public boat back to Amalfi in the late afternoon. The evening is yours to spend as you wish. Meals included: Breakfast Lunch Day 5 Wander the eerie streets of ancient Pompeii Your final day is a full one.
