Late getaways departing in June
Summer is finally upon us and there are plenty of destinations where you can make the most of the longer days and pleasant temperatures this month whether you choose to head off on an adventure in Europe or travel further afield to Africa, Asia and South America.
Even though Peru is in its winter, June marks the beginning of the dry season, which makes it one of the best times to trek in the Andean mountains. Pass Mount Salkantay and its glistening glaciers, cross the Inca Chiriasqa Pass and explore remote mountain villages in the sunshine on our The Salkantay Trek. June is also a great time to visit Cusco, where you might see preparations or rehearsals for Inti Raymi. Known to many as the “Maldives of Europe” Albania, is also a great trekking destination for June as the trails are open and there are vibrant wildflowers and crystal clear waterfalls to see across Valbonë and Theth National Park. When it comes to our cultural trips, Italy is a firm favourite in June.
