Cape Town & The Garden Route

Hi I am booked on this trip 28Th/29Th Septemeber , looking forward to it . any one else booked on this trip or does anyone have any advise ?

I'm travelling on the Cape Town Garden Route Trip Sep 28th. Just wondered if anyone else is flying from Heathrow to Jo.burg using B.A. (flight BA55).  It would be nice to find someone on the same flight!   Barbara

Hello my husband and I are going on the Garden Route tour. We're meeting the group at Port Elizabeth airport Sunday 29th. We are pleased to say hello to fellow travellers.

Hi! Going on the above and just wondered who else was going?  I am a solo traveller aged 59 and have been on previous Exodus trips - looking forward to meeting my fellow travellers!

Hi Geraldine

We're going the same time as Diane you'll be home before we leave by the look of things. Have a great time away.

Hells Bells

Hi Geraldine

I'm also going on the same dates as Diane and Hells Bells.  I'm really looking forward to the trip - the itinerary looks excellent. I've done a couple of trips with Explore but this is my first one with Exodus. I'm flying out with BA from Heathrow so meeting the rest of the group at Port Elizabeth. Chose BA to avoid having to change at Joburg on the return flight from Cape Town. Have a great time!

Hi - my wife Bev and I are are doing the 28/9 trip, but we are using the "default" flight pattern of Virgin to and from Joburg then BA for the remainder. I didn't think to look for any alternatives, and a straight return flight would have been nice - oh well!

I've just been reading the Govt advice for SA travellers. Hopefully it's a worst case scenario!

Look forward to meeting the rest of you either at Heathrow or in Port Elizabeth.

good to be in contact before trip ! Being a solo traveller can be a bit donting ! Not long now till we all go ! Diane

Hi All

I am travelling solo too. Just been informed that my internal flight to Port Elizabeth has been cancelled and been transferred to a later flight that arrives at 15.45pm after the group transfer leaves Port Elizabeth airport , so I am going to have to make my own way to Avoca River Cabins. Don't suppose anyone else is making their own way and want to share a taxi. Exodus say it is not any easy journey!!

my problem is flight from Glasgow ! Day after BA strike ! Don’t know wither due to backlog will fly 😢😢

Hi Diane

Have you let Exodus know about your concerns? They have ammended my joining instructions to say that the transfer from Port Elizabeth is difficult have they done the same for you? I wondered if anyone else was having problems with the transfer.

Isn't this an absolute pain!! I'm due to fly out with BA on the 28th 19.05 flight from Heathrow Terminal 5 arriving Joburg 07.05 on 29th. Haven't heard anything yet but if the strike still goes ahead on the 27th will be lucky if there aren't any delays. Let's keep in touch and of course will share a taxi if and when I hear of any updates on arrival times at Joburg. (which airline are you using ?)

I'm flying with South African Airways leaving Heathrow at 19.00pm and arriving at Joburg at 7.05am . At present they have transferred me to the 14.10 flight to Port Elizabeth which arrives at 15.45pm . Am trying to see if South African airways will let me transfer to the 10.25 flight but would probably need to pay extra as they only buisiness class tickets left waiting to hear how much extra and if possible.

am on same South African airway flight arriving same time but hav other flight at 10.55 am
