Reviewed July 2017 Stephen Brown Trip: Norway Trekking Weekend Norway trekking weekend This is a very enjoyable trip, offering a real challenge, but providing fantastic rewards. The accommodation is very good, and the transfer to the hotel from Bergen is very pleasant. The walk to Trolltunga is certainly long, but is worth the effort. What was the most inspirational moment of your trip? Undoubtedly the moment when it's your turn to walk out onto Trolltunga. What did you think of your group leader? Hilde was excellent, enthusiastic and supportive. She provided chocolate and drinks and just the right moments. Do you have any advice for potential travellers? The trek to Trolltunga is a very popular walk, and there is only one route up. So, you will be walking up with a lot of other people going the same way. This also means that, if you want the iconic photograph on the Trolltunga, you need to be prepared for a very long wait when you arrive for your turn on the Trolltunga, where you can get quite cold. We waited for about an hour and a half on our trip - it is quite lively, with wedding proposals and people doing handstands, but there's no real avoiding it. It's definitely worth it, though! It is an incredible place.
