Brrr... Winter training for Cuban Highlights ride!

Anyone else heading out to Cuba for Easter and thinking how best to approach the wet and cold of winter riding here in the UK?

Hi Caroline...I'm heading to Cuba in February and like you, I'm currently struggling to get on my bike and cycle in the wind and the rain! The key is to keep cycling and somehow, to keep smiling but also most importantly, to remember that in a couple of months' time, there'll be a mojito in a bar just waiting for you...!

Hi, I'm also going to be cycling Cuba on the Easter trip and can't wait, but am struggling to get out in the cold and wet. I'm going to spin classes during the week to help with the training I know it's not the same but it can be a good substitute when the weather is rubbish. Can't wait it should be fun.

Hi Helen and IJ,

Great to know someone else is out there struggling with the cold - it's not exactly got any better since I posted! Still frozen!

Can't wait for mojitos and sunshine now - hope the spinning is going well? Made it out for a short ride the other day, and am sure the next few weekends will come good.

Looking forward to it now - any feedback/essential info from your trip IJ?
