Cape Town to Victoria Falls - Camping - Sleeping bag?

Hi

Just wondering if anyone has done this trip in November and can offer any advice regarding sleeping bags.  The trip notes state 3-4 season, but was wondering if this is still necessary in November, is is it likely that you can get away with a lighter one?

Hope someone can help!

Thank you

Hi Catherine,

I did this trip last November and only took a 2 season sleeping bag and I was warm enough. I hope you enjoy yourself, it's a great trip!

Katherine :)

Thanks for your reply - that's what I was hoping to hear!  Quite a difference in weight/size packing a 3-4 season compared to a 2 season one!

Looking forward to it!

Has anyone done thus trip before? Any inside information, my wife and I are looking forward to it.

Hi Paul,  are you and your wife on the 4 November camping departure too?

I'm really looking forward to the trip!

Yes Catherine, it appears we are on the same trip. We have had a few trips with Exodus but not this one. We too are looking forward to it.

We have been to Africa before but never to the south and never Overland.

I understand the trip is fully booked.

We've been informed a 1 season will be enough so we're checking.

i ended up buying a 2-3 season one as beyond this trip I thought I’d get more use out of it.

i usually ask when booking a trip whether there are couples, singles and what age range is, but I didn’t this time.

I’ve also done a few Exodus trips - was in South Africa with them last November, so Cape Town will be a repeat for me, but the rest will be new territory!
