Everest & Gokyo lakes Circuit

We have booked this trip looking to share information and experiences which will enhance the trip. I'm currently researching solar Chargers, Steri pens and whether to go early and stay later on the trip!

Hi John,

im booking into the 20th March departure - is this the same one you have booked into?

Hi John and Jemma,

Are you both booked onto the trip leaving on the 20th March?

Hi Josh,

Yes, I've booked onto that trip. I haven't taken the group flight though.

Are you booked onto it? Or thinking about it?

Yes, I'm booked on. Great to know a few other people going as well. Can't wait!

Excellent - I’m really looking forward to it. I have an obsession with seeing Everest so this is perfect! Have you done anything similar before?

I climbed Mount Toubkal in September, but this is a bit higher altitude than I’ve been to before 😬

I'm only 18, will turn 19 a few weeks before we leave, so I'm not very well traveled! I have done a lot of climbing and walking in North Wales, but spend most of my time locally on Dartmoor. This will be my first taste of 'proper' mountains, fingers crossed I'll be alright with the altitude!!

What a fantastic birthday trip for you. Are you doing it on your own?

I‘ve been away with exodus a couple of times now and their guides have always been brilliant. Take it slow, eat and drink plenty, and I’m sure you’ll do just fine with the altitude.

That's nice to hear you've had good experiences with them. What trips have you done?

And yes, I am going on my own, should be a good opportunity to meet some like-minded people. Are you going on your own?

I did mount toubkal with them and machu picchu  couple of years ago. The groups have always been great - I love meeting people from all different walks of life, but all there for the same reason.

I live in Essex, which is completely flat! So trying to get most of my training done in the gym.

And yes, I’m travelling solo also.

We seem to be going the week after You our Trip starts on 28.3.19 but we are having a couple of days in Kathmandu first.  Some of my colleagues did a part of this adventure this April and I am finding out all I can from them.

Three years ago we did the Darjeeling, Sikkim & the Singalila Ridge which went up to 12000ft at times

Hi John,

That's a shame, we will just be slightly ahead of you. We will make sure those tea houses are nicely warmed up for your arrival!!

Feel free to share any helpful insights your colleagues provide :)

Hi Jemma (and anyone else going on the trip leaving on the 20th march), are you on Facebook? If so then add me, I feel it will be easier to communicate through there!
