Trip Overview

Ancient rituals, unexpected encounters and a little wilderness – this is Sri Lanka at its most captivating

Experience Sri Lanka on an immersive journey through ancient kingdoms, tea country, remote wilderness and golden coastlines. Led by an expert local tour leader, we explore iconic landmarks, including Sigiriya Rock Fortress and the sacred temples of Dambulla. We also get closer to local life through traditional crafts, cuisine and meaningful cultural encounters. Along the way, we venture into the lesser-visited wilderness of Gal Oya, search for wild elephants, explore the scenic highlands by train and head out on safari in leopard country. With carefully selected accommodation throughout, we end our adventure on the beautiful southern coast, exploring the historic streets of Galle Fort.

Is This Trip for You?

This trip is rated Activity Level 2 (Easy & Moderate). For more information on our trip gradings please visit the Activity Level Guidelines page. If you have any queries about the difficulty of the trip please do not hesitate to contact us.

Suitability: This is not a demanding trip, although there are a few long drives on bumpy, twisty mountain roads but regular stops help to break up the journeys. The buses we use are comfortable and air conditioned. Some included activities are more on the moderate side than easy. Walking up Sigiriya Rock on Day 2 and Horton Plains walk on Day 10 are enjoyable and a relaxed pace but may not be suitable for someone with reduced fitness or mobility issues.

Sigiriya: When visiting Sigiriya Rock Fortress (Lion Rock) the final ascent to the top is on metal open stairs fixed against the side of the rock. There are handrails on either side but those with a strong fear of heights may prefer to stay on the lower level (where the lion “paws” are) and not continue to the rock plateau. You will be able to rejoin the group when they return to the plateau.

Horton Plains: For Horton Plains, the walk unfolds in four distinct terrain phases. Phase one entails an easy initial walk followed by a brief uphill climb and then a descent along a rocky riverbed, where caution is advised, especially on wet days. Phase two transitions to a path of fine soil and peat, which may become slippery when wet, leading to Greater World’s End. Phase three involves an undulating walk with varying degrees of incline and descent which has been classed as easy/moderate challenge, including steep steps, culminating in a 45-degree uphill stretch. The final phase, four, continues with undulating terrain, featuring gravel and grass paths and moderately steep steps, ultimately leading to the exit point of the excursion. Trainers/trail shoes with good grip are recommended for this activity.

April Departures, Sinhala and Tamil New Year: A unique celebration to the people of Sri Lanka, this important New Year national festival, known as Avurudu in Sinhala and Puththandu in Tamil, is not celebrated by any other nation. The Sinhala and Tamil New Year festivities are observed by both Sinhala Buddhists and Tamil Hindus across Sri Lanka for two days in April. If you are travelling in Sri Lanka over these dates you can expect to see religious ceremonies, family activities, traditional foods, and a general feeling of good will toward neighbours and friends. Parties can go on into the night and it can be quite loud during this period. Your tour leader will be happy to show you some of the activities where your itinerary allows. Please note, during the New Year public holiday, there will be heavy traffic and busy places at times, but your tour leader can modify the itinerary as required to ensure minimal disruption.

Water safety: This trip includes time by a lake, river or sea, where there may be opportunities to swim. You should always seek local advice before deciding whether to swim. Open-water or wild swim spots should be treated with extreme caution. Information on how to keep yourself safe while swimming is shown here.

Day 1
Adventure begins in Negombo

Welcome to Sri Lanka! Our adventure begins in the coastal town of Negombo, just a 30-minute drive from Colombo airport.

Around 6pm, say ayubowan to your tour leader and fellow travellers at our hotel, where we gather as a group for the first time to get to know each other and learn more about the adventures ahead.

Your tour leader then ensures a big Sri Lankan welcome by arranging a group dinner together. Weather permitting, we’ll eat on the beach, sampling specialities such as Negombo crab curry, hoppers and pittu. It’s the perfect introduction to the island’s vibrant flavours and warm hospitality.

Day 2
Discover local traditions • Climb Sigiriya's Lion Rock
Sri Lanka In Style

We begin the day with a visit to Negombo’s bustling fish market, where fishermen bring in their daily catch and traders gather among colourful stalls and drying areas. It’s a fascinating glimpse into the working life and coastal heritage of this fishing community.

Leaving the coast behind, we travel through coconut groves, paddy fields and rural villages towards Sri Lanka’s Cultural Triangle. En route, we visit a community-run weaving workshop in Dunagaha, meeting local craftspeople and learning about techniques that continue to provide livelihoods for local families. We also enjoy a cup of homemade tea before continuing to Sigiriya.

Later this afternoon, we tackle one of Sri Lanka’s most extraordinary landmarks: the Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Perhaps the island’s most iconic attraction, this Unesco World Heritage Site is crowned by the ruins of a fifth-century royal palace, perched atop an imposing granite peak known as Lion Rock. Our ascent takes us up a series of steep steps and gangways, climbing 655ft (200m) above the surrounding plains. Along the way, we pass ancient frescoes depicting female figures holding flowers and offerings, before reaching the flat-topped summit and the extensive remains of the royal palace. Here, our efforts are rewarded with spectacular panoramic views across the surrounding countryside.

Accommodation: Aliya Resort (or similar)

Day 3
Elephant Safari • Discover ancient Polonnaruwa

Today brings together two of Sri Lanka’s great treasures: remarkable ancient history and magnificent wildlife.

We head off for a safari in Minneriya, Kaudulla or Hurulu Eco Park, choosing the location according to the movements of the wild elephant herds. Travelling by 4×4, we search for these remarkable animals in their natural habitat, with opportunities to observe their behaviour against a backdrop of forest and grassland.

Later, we explore the ancient city of Polonnaruwa, once a flourishing royal capital of Sri Lanka. Among the atmospheric ruins, we discover intricately carved Buddhist sculptures, impressive stupas, royal palaces and sacred temples that reflect the remarkable achievements of Sri Lanka’s ancient civilisation.

Day 4
Experience Buddhist traditions • Visit Dambulla Caves • To Gal Oya
Buddha statues in Dambulla Caves, Sri Lanka

This morning offers a special opportunity to experience Sri Lanka’s Buddhist traditions. At a local temple, we join villagers as they prepare a traditional devotional food offering, gaining insight into the customs and community spirit at the heart of Buddhist life. We then witness the offering of alms to Buddhist monks and receive a blessing as part of this sacred ritual.

We then visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, a Unesco World Heritage Site where centuries-old Buddhist paintings and statues fill a series of atmospheric rock caves.

Continuing east, we journey towards Gal Oya, a relatively remote wilderness of forests, lakes and traditional communities. We settle into our wilderness accommodation, surrounded by the sounds and tranquillity of nature.

This evening we visit members of the indigenous Vedda community, learning about their heritage and traditions.

Day 5
Free day to discover Gal Oya's wilderness
Wild Glamping Gal Oya

Wake to the sounds of nature and enjoy breakfast in a beautiful outdoor setting, either overlooking the river or surrounded by the bush.

Today has been left free to unwind or discover more of Gal Oya’s natural surroundings.

Optional experiences this morning include a guided visit to the lodge’s working farm, where we learn about sustainable growing practices and the ingredients used in the kitchen, or a nature walk towards Kiri Oruwa Lake, looking for birds, butterflies and other wildlife along the way.

This afternoon, you can join an optional boat safari on Senanayake Samudraya, the vast reservoir bordering Gal Oya National Park. Cruising between forested shores and small islands, you can look for elephants gathering at the water’s edge and, with luck, swimming between islands. Crocodiles, deer and an abundance of birdlife may also be seen.

Tonight we enjoy our second evening in the wilderness.

Day 6
Discover traditional crafts • Walk to Rathna Ella waterfall • To Kandy
Rathna Ella Waterfall, Sri Lanka

Today we discover a side of Sri Lanka rarely experienced by visitors, travelling through rural communities towards Kandy.

Our first stop is Mapakada, where we meet a traditional blacksmith and observe techniques passed down through generations. We then continue to Hasalaka for a scenic walk through lush countryside towards the beautiful Rathna Ella waterfall, surrounded by forest.

A highlight of the day is a traditional village lunch, prepared using fresh local ingredients. Depending on weather conditions, we may enjoy our meal near the waterfall or visit a local village for a cooking demonstration, discovering the flavours and techniques of rural Sri Lankan cuisine.

We also meet a local potter at his family workshop and have an opportunity to try our hand at shaping clay. This personal encounter provides a wonderful insight into the skill, patience and craftsmanship involved in traditional pottery, while supporting a local livelihood.

As we continue towards Kandy, we stop at a spectacular viewpoint overlooking the winding mountain roads and valleys below.

Today we visit the revered Temple of the Tooth, which houses a sacred relic believed to be a tooth of the Buddha. As pilgrims arrive to make offerings, we gain an insight into the spiritual significance of this important Buddhist site.

After our visit, we head to a scenic viewpoint overlooking Kandy, with its impressive Buddha statue and sweeping views of the city. We also visit a gem museum to learn about Sri Lanka’s long tradition of gemstone mining and craftsmanship. Another highlight is the beautiful Royal Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya, renowned for their towering tropical trees, colourful orchids and extensive collection of exotic plants.

This evening, there is the option to attend a traditional Kandyan cultural performance featuring music, dance and fire displays.

Explore Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka's 'Little England'
Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast, we continue through the scenic highlands to Nuwara Eliya, a charming hill station renowned for its cool climate.

Known as ‘Little England’, Nuwara Eliya was once a favourite retreat of British tea planters. Its landscaped gardens, historic buildings and traditional golf course offer a fascinating contrast to the tropical landscapes we have explored so far.

We have time to discover the town and soak up its distinctive atmosphere before settling into our hotel, a historic landmark renowned for its elegant architecture.

Accompanied by our guide, we follow a scenic walking trail towards World’s End, where the plateau ends abruptly in a sheer drop of approximately 3,445ft (1,050m), offering spectacular views across the plains when the skies are clear. Our walk covers approximately 5.5mi (9km) and takes three to four hours.

Afterwards, we board a train at Ohiya for one of Sri Lanka’s most picturesque rail journeys. Travelling through misty forests, tea-covered hillsides and mountain valleys, we experience the beauty of the highlands from a different perspective. We leave the train at Nanu Oya and return to Nuwara Eliya for a relaxing evening.

Today we descend from the cool central highlands towards Sri Lanka’s wild southeastern plains. Our journey takes us through the mountain town of Ella, with a stop to admire the cascading Ravana Falls.

This afternoon, we venture into Yala National Park for a 4×4 safari. Renowned for its leopard population, Yala is also home to elephants, sloth bears, crocodiles and an impressive variety of birdlife.

We explore the quieter Block 5 area, where dense vegetation and fewer safari vehicles create a more peaceful wildlife-viewing experience. With our experienced safari guide, we search for the park’s remarkable animals, never knowing what might appear around the next bend.

After our safari, we continue to our hotel for the evening.

Accommodation: DoubleTree by Hilton Weerawila (or similar)

Day 12
Visit Udawalawe Elephant Transit Home • To Galle

We leave the wilderness behind today and journey towards Sri Lanka’s southern coastline.

Along the way, we stop to visit the Elephant Transit Home near Udawalawe National Park, an important conservation initiative caring for orphaned elephants. We learn about the rehabilitation programme and its efforts to prepare these animals for a return to the wild, with the opportunity to observe them during a scheduled feeding session.

Continuing towards Galle, the scenery changes once again as tropical greenery gives way to palm-fringed beaches and the sparkling Indian Ocean.

We arrive at our coastal hotel with time to relax by the pool, enjoy the sea views and unwind after our adventures across the island.

Accommodation: Jetwing Lighthouse (or similar)

Day 13
Explore historic Galle and its fort
Sri Lanka In Style

Today we explore the historic coastal city of Galle, where centuries of maritime trade have created a fascinating blend of Sri Lankan and European influences.

We visit the Martin Wickramasinghe Folk Museum in Koggala en route. Dedicated to one of Sri Lanka’s most celebrated writers, the museum occupies a traditional southern Sri Lankan homestead surrounded by tropical gardens. The collection provides an insight into rural life, displaying household objects, agricultural tools and cultural artefacts from across the region.

In Galle, we explore the historic fort, a Unesco World Heritage Site, wandering through atmospheric streets lined with centuries-old buildings, churches and quiet courtyards. We also stroll along the old ramparts, enjoying sweeping views across the Indian Ocean and discovering the maritime history of this once-important trading port.

There are several optional activities to choose from today. Those keen to discover Sri Lanka’s marine wildlife may choose a whale-watching excursion on a private boat from Mirissa, subject to seasonal conditions. Alternatively, you could experience a traditional outdoor well bath at Thalpe Walawwa or take a boat trip through the mangrove-lined waterways of the Madu River, looking for colourful birdlife and water monitors.

We return to our coastal hotel for our final evening in Sri Lanka.

Food & Drink

We suggest allowing about 13,270 rupees (US$40) per day for lunches and dinners that aren’t included.

Eating out in Sri Lanka is generally affordable, and your tour leader can recommend local places to eat. In some locations, restaurant choices may be limited or unsuitable for larger groups, in which case you’ll eat at the hotel. Hotel meals are generally buffet-style, although many also offer an à la carte menu. Where practical, your tour leader can help arrange transport into the local town, or you can travel independently by tuk tuk or taxi.

Sri Lankan cuisine combines fresh local produce with aromatic spices and flavours influenced by the island’s diverse cultural heritage. Rice and curry is a staple, typically consisting of a selection of meat or vegetable curries, pickles, sambols (condiments) and poppadoms. Coconut, chilli, curry leaves, cinnamon and garlic feature prominently in many dishes.

Vegetarians are well catered for, but please let us know before departure about any dietary requirements. Some specialist products can be difficult to find, particularly outside hotels, and options for certain diets, including wheat- or dairy-free, may be limited. If you rely on particular products, you may wish to bring suitable alternatives from home. Spicier food can usually be avoided, and many hotels offer Western options alongside traditional Sri Lankan dishes.

Drinking water is provided by our local operator in large containers throughout the trip. Please bring a reusable bottle to refill.

Transport

We use an air-conditioned minibus or coach depending on the size of the group however, please note vehicles in Sri Lanka tend to have limited legroom so we will try to stop for comfort breaks as needed. Open sided jeeps are used in Yala National Park and jeeps or a microbus will be used to drive to Horton Plains.

The train ride will be in the second-class carriage, an authentic experience and great chance for some fun local interactions.

We must have your passport details at least 30 days before the start of the trip. Passports are checked against tickets at the train station. If we do not have your passport details in time or they are inaccurate, you may be unable to take the train ride (but can travel by road instead). For bookings made less than 30 days before travel, we will try to secure train tickets but cannot guarantee their availability.

Please Note: We will endeavour to secure train tickets as per the itinerary. However, if the train is sold out or overcrowded, your leader will action an alternative plan.

Weather & Seasonality

With a location near the equator, Sri Lanka has a hot and humid climate. At the higher elevations, however, it is cool; the humidity is lower in the northern and central parts of the country. The average annual temperature is 32C (90F) in the lowlands and 21C (70F) in the higher mountainous regions, though it can get chilly in the hill country at night.

Rainfall is determined by seasonal and regional variations. The monsoon season in the southwest lasts from May to November, when the rainfall can be exceptionally heavy. In the northern dry zone, most of the annual precipitation, roughly 1,016mm (about 40in) occurs during the monsoon season, which begins in the first week of November, though we do not really visit this region and so are largely unaffected by this monsoon. The hills and lowlands of the southwest normally have some rainfall throughout the year, with the heaviest occurring in May and June and again in October and November.

Please note, occasionally low cloud and rains over Horton Plains can be prohibitive to the walk to World’s End viewpoint. In case of inclement weather, your leader will make an alternative plan taking you through Ella Gap earlier in the day.

What To Take

Essential Equipment

  • Refillable water bottle (ideally with a wide mouth) – plastic bottles are a big issue in many countries where recycling isn’t yet widely available and we would like to reduce our impact here.
  • Sunhat
  • Sunscreen
  • Light casual clothing
  • Warm sweater/fleece
  • Sandals (especially if you want to go rafting)
  • Trainers/walking shoes (needed at Horton Plains and Sigiriya)
  • Light waterproof (needed at Horton Plains)
  • Swimming costume
  • Hand gel
  • Small personal first-aid kit
  • Torch

There is no strict dress code during the trip, you can wear whatever you feel comfortable in. However, when visiting temples, both men and women should cover their shoulders and wear clothing that covers the knees as a sign of respect. It doesn’t matter what type of bag or case you use on this trip. You should also bring a small backpack for your valuable items.

Practical Info & Visa

Visa

Sri Lanka

Travellers from the UK, US and EU normally need a visa (ETA) to enter Sri Lanka. Travellers from 40 countries, including the UK, US and Canada, can obtain a free 30-day ETA at www.eta.gov.lk. We strongly recommend that you do this prior to travel to avoid any complications and delays on arrival. Please note, visa requirements often change and it is your responsibility to obtain any required visas for this trip. Therefore, we recommend that you check with the nearest embassy or consulate of your chosen destination(s), including any countries you may be transiting or transferring through.

Some local governments provide guidance on what visas their citizens need. To help, we’ve gathered a selection of useful links below.

Local customs and laws: You should be aware of local laws and customs in Sri Lanka (see: www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/sri-lanka/local-laws-and-customs). The mistreatment of Buddhist images and artefacts is an offence; please note, people have been refused entry to Sri Lanka because of visible tattoos of Buddha.

Vaccinations and Health

Sri Lanka

There are no required vaccinations. However, recommended vaccinations include tetanus, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, Japanese encephalitis, rabies, tuberculosis and typhoid. You will also need a yellow fever vaccination certificate if you’re arriving from a country with risk of yellow fever transmission or transiting for more than 12 hours through a country with risk of yellow fever transmission. Please confirm with your doctor or travel clinic.

Dengue fever, a tropical viral disease spread by daytime biting mosquitoes, is a known risk in places visited. There is currently no vaccine or prophylaxis available; the best form of prevention is to take the usual precautions to avoid mosquito bites.

For detailed health and vaccination advice, visit:

Local Time

Sri Lanka's time zone: Asia/Colombo (UTC +05:30)

Electricity

Sri Lanka's electricity:

Plug type G (three rectangular pins) – 230V, 50Hz – is by far the most common type in Sri Lanka. The electricity supply is not 100 percent reliable but is usually only off for short periods

Sri Lanka In Style

Money

Sri Lanka's currency: All foreign passport holders can make payments for purchases in the local currency, Sri Lankan rupees (LKR). This is applicable to hotels, restaurants, shops and for any other services. Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard and American Express) are widely accepted in hotels, restaurants, and most established shops. If you wish to exchange any cash upon arrival into Sri Lankan rupees, it is advisable to exchange British pounds, euros or US dollars upon arrival at Colombo Airport where authorised bank money exchanges are open 24-hours a day. Hotels can change money as well, but the rates will probably not be favourable. Your Tour Leader will be happy to direct you to the appropriate exchange services if you wish to change money during the trip. You are no longer required to produce your receipt of foreign exchange when making payments in Sri Lankan rupees, as was previously the case. However, we suggest you retain receipts of foreign exchange which will help should you wish to change back any unused rupees at the time of departure.

ATM Availability

You will find ATM machines in many of the main towns in Sri Lanka with Visa, MasterCard and American Express widely accepted. There is often a small 3-4% fee on top of your withdrawals so bear that in mind.

It’s worth informing your bank before departure that you are travelling to Sri Lanka and carry the relevant telephone number with you in case they put a block on your card.

Extra Expenses & Spending Money

For small purchases, particularly at local shops and markets, cash is generally preferred and easier for transactions than credit cards.

We recommend allowing at least 2,200 Sri Lankan rupees (US$6) per day for personal expenses, such as drinks. Some attractions may also charge a small fee for photography. Sri Lanka offers plenty of opportunities to pick up souvenirs, from traditional handicrafts and colourful textiles to locally produced tea and spices. Even if shopping isn’t usually a priority, you may find yourself tempted by the wonderful variety of locally made products, so we recommend budgeting a little extra for souvenirs.

All entrance fees and activities described in the itinerary are included with an exception for the optional activities mentioned on some days.

Optional excursions

There are plenty of opportunities for local excursions and cultural experiences throughout this trip, which are detailed in the daily itinerary. For an overview of the optional extras, please see below:

  • Gal Oya farm visit (Day 5): free
  • Gal Oya walk to Kiri Oruwa Lake (Day 5): US$10 per person, based on four people
  • Thalpe Walawwa Well Bath experience (Day 13): US$18 per person, based on five people
  • Boat ride on the Madu River (Day 13): US$30 per person, based on six people

Whale watching (November to April)

  • The whale-watching trip by private boat should cost about 32,500 rupees per person depending on the number of participants. Minimum six passengers required.

Below is the breakdown.

  • Cost of boat: 110,000-140,000 rupees (depending on availability and demand on the given day)
  • Entry ticket: 8,000 rupees
  • Tuk tuks: 1,500 rupees per person (we cannot take the bus into the harbour)
  • Tips: 500 to 1,000 rupees per person

Please note, if you choose to enjoy this excursion on your free day, we strongly advise booking a private charter boat through your tour leader in advance as the boats are always subject to availability. The more members of the group who wish to join the charter the more cost-effective it will be. We do not recommend larger, commercial boats; they may be cheaper, but they do not always respect the welfare of the animals or operate in an environmentally responsible way. We have also had reports of overcrowding on the boats. Please ask your leader for further details on how to book a private charter.

Tipping

Tipping is part of the culture in Sri Lanka.

Tipping kitty: Tipping can be an awkward affair, especially when you’re in an unfamiliar country. As such, your tour leader will offer to arrange and look after a tipping kitty, which will be used to tip hotel staff, local guides, and other support staff used on the trip (optional excursions are not included in the group kitty). Your tour leader will suggest how much to contribute, but it is usually about 16,500 rupees (approximately US$50) per group member. At any time during the trip, your tour leader will happily show you an account of how the kitty is being distributed.

Tour leader and transfer crew: These are not included in the tipping kitty and are at your own discretion. If you wish to show your appreciation, our recommendation is as follows:

  • Driver and assistant: around 650-950 rupees (US$2-US$3) per group member, per day
  • Tour leader: around 1,100-1,600 rupees (US$4-US$5) per group member, per day

Where possible, please try to tip in the local currency.

Sustainability and Impact

As a certified B Corp, we’re on a mission to improve our social and environmental impact across all our adventures.

We do this through our innovative Thriving Nature, Thriving People plan.

This ‘nature positive’ approach is designed to help nature and communities thrive in harmony through practical solutions, such as reducing carbon and waste on our trips, supporting conservation projects through the Exodus Adventure Travels Foundation, and rewilding 100 square metres for every Exodus traveller.

You’ll also find Thriving Nature, Thriving People moments across our trips. These experiences are often a highlight of your adventure, while also benefiting the natural world or local communities.

On this trip, we:

  • Visit a community-run weaving workshop in Dunagaha, meeting local artisans and learning techniques that help sustain traditional craftsmanship and local livelihoods.

Important Information

Your Safe Participation
When booking this trip, you should be confident in your ability to participate in all activities described in these Trip Notes. If you have any doubt about your suitability, please call us and ask to speak to one of the experts on this itinerary.

Although our leaders are well trained to deal with different capabilities, if they have any concerns about someone’s ability to safely take part in an activity, or their impact on other people’s enjoyment, we authorise them to take necessary action which, in some circumstances, may involve asking someone to miss that activity.

By booking this trip you agree to our Booking Conditions which clearly state that our leaders have the authority to do this. In these rare instances we will ensure anyone sitting out is safely provided for and offered alternative options where possible. Refunds will not be provided for activities missed and customers may be liable for additional costs incurred.

Seatbelts
All vehicles used by us should be equipped with working seatbelts, except where approved by us based on the vehicle type or journey. Wherever seatbelts are available, we require our customers to use them for their own safety, even where it may not be a legal requirement.

How To Book

Speak to our friendly team of experts to plan your adventure:

  1. Check availability: our website shows real-time availability of our guided group tours, or contact our team by phone, email or live chat.
  2. Hold a space: You can provisionally hold a space on any guided group tour to give you time to finalise your travel plans.
  3. Confirm your booking: Payment of a deposit will complete your booking and secure your place on the trip.

After booking
You will receive a confirmation document and invoice, which includes extra information and guidance about your travel arrangements. Our dedicated Customer Operations team will help you with any pre-travel questions or arrangements and can easily add extensions or extra accommodation to your booking. Final Joining Instructions will usually be sent out two to three weeks prior to departure.

Adding transfers to your booking
If you have arranged your own flights and would like to add transfers to your booking, please provide your arrival and departure details to our Customer Operations team around four to six weeks before departure.

  • Where complimentary transfers are included, they are available for any flight but can only be added to your booking once we have received your flight schedule.
  • Where group arrival and departure transfers are available, these operate at fixed times. You will need to arrive in time to meet the scheduled transfer. If the timings don’t align with your travel plans, our team can arrange private transfers once they receive your flight schedule.

Trip Note validity
Trip notes may be updated after booking; if any updates significantly impact the inclusions or itinerary you will be advised in writing. A link to the most up-to-date Trip Notes will be sent out with your Final Joining Instructions before departure.

The information in these Trip Notes is given in good faith. All holidays can be subject to unexpected changes, and occasionally it may not be possible to follow the itinerary as planned. In these circumstances we will make the best-possible alternative arrangements that maintain the integrity of the original itinerary.
