Huayhuash Circuit TPH depart 21 June 13

Anyone else coming on the trip?  Stephen from Birmingham here. Would be good to make contact.

Hi Stephen, I am on the trip as well. I am just starting the think about sorting things out, although it is a bit later than I would have liked.

Graham

from Bristol

Hi Graham.  Good to know I am not alone!   I have just ordered the maps form The Map Shop in Upton on Severn - cheaper than Stanfords and they have the Huayhuash sheet in stock - Stanfords does not.  Exodis advises that we are 9 travellers in total.

Stephen

Good to see that there are others on the trip and thanks for the info on 9 travellers.

Are you both travelling from Heathrow at 06:20 on the 21st?

Linda (from York)

Hi Linda

Yes I fly from Heathrow on 06:20 on 21st to Madrid.  See you in the queue!    Stephen

Hi Linda,

I am also travelling on the same flights as well.

Have either of you worked out on how many dollars we need for food, tips etc?

Graham

I wasn't sure so went for more than less as they can be used at a later time - £500 worth.

Linda

Thanks Linda, I will give it some thought as I'd rather have too much.

I have just looked at the weather forecast for Huaraz and at the moment it looks sunny on our first full day there, with a temperature of 13 degrees.

Yes I have also gone for just over £500 worth of dollars.

Still at this late stage faffing over whether to take Goretex fabric boots orlight leather boots.  Exodus suggestse either is fine.

Stephen

Yes, I know - all those packing decisions (I've gone for Goretex). I have to make mine today as I'm working in Milton Keynes Tue - Thur and catching a late train to Heathrow on Thur night. Just hope Iberia don't lose my luggage again as last time I visited S.America (Venezuela) I was only reunited with my bag on my way home!

Linda

Just packing (and discarding excess) and realised that I haven't received any joining instructions.  Have either of you received the information?

 Linda

I had an e-mail as well. I couldn't print some of the documents so I asked them to send me paper copies which they did.

Regarding boots, did you notice they say there may be some boggy sections.

Graham

Not too worried about a bit of bog - boots will have to cope.  About to leave for the train to MK but have emailed Exodus re missing documents so they will have to email them to me this week.

See you on Fri morning - I'll be at the airport from around midnight!

Linda
