Join our award-winning photographer, guide and outspoken conservationist in the beautiful wilderness that is Tadoba National Park as you go in search of the Bengal tiger. Western visitors are few and far between in these parts, which greatly enhances your chance of spotting these elusive but mesmerising big cats in the wild. Leopards, Sloth bears and numerous bird species also reside in Tadoba but it is the tigers that will be the star of the show on this safari.

"I had heard plenty about Tadoba but I was utterly delighted with the end game there. Yes there were some crowds, yes it was hot and dusty, but twelve game drives and tigers on ten of them says it all – that is why I am going back twice this year." ~ Paul Goldstein

Your Words, Not Ours

"Tadoba-tantalised: from the grizzled old male cooling his territorial battle injuries to the beautiful tigress and her two sub-adults sashaying down the track towards us - a sight to behold, and to bring a tear to the eye! Time for a repeat trip!" ~ Jackie Downey

Sri Lanka's Whales with Paul Goldstein

Sperm whales in Sri Lanka (Image by Paul Goldstein) Sperm whales in Sri Lanka (Image by Paul Goldstein)

In recent years, the waters off the eastern coast of Sri Lanka have become somewhat of a hotspot for marine life - specifically Blue and Sperm whales which have been spotted gathering in 'super-pods' just off the coast of Trincomaleeand. Spend each day out at sea on board small private boats (3 boats, 4 clients per boat) under the expert guidance of Sri Lanka's best free-diving naturalist Daya and our photographer Paul Goldstein, hoping to witness these magnificent marine mammals coming together to feed and socialise. It's also possible to see large pods of Spinner dolphins.

"I am suspended in 28 degree midnight blue water, barely breathing through my snorkel. Just ten feet below me are five sperm whales, my fins kick gently keeping me just above this cetaceous bonanza. This is perhaps the most thrilling thing I have ever done! Any half decent swimmers out there fancy a bit of this in Sri Lanka next month?" ~ Paul Goldstein

Your Words, Not Ours

"My trip to Sri Lanka really was really much more than than a trip to 'India for wimps'! The emerald forests complete with enchanting Asian elephants, clouds of butterflies and one of the most beautiful of big cats, the ever elusive leopard did not disappoint. And of course saving the best to last - the whales - breathtaking! It was a truly emotional and unique experience to get in the deep (deep) blue sea and spend a moment in time with them, eye to eye. A very memorable trip with many remarkable moments, and a place I will always hold dear. Go!" ~ Justine Morgan
