Chandra grew up in the small farming village of Nisdi in Palpa, western Nepal. Dreaming of new possibilities, he moved to Kathmandu after school, where hard work and determination opened a life-changing door — in 1998 he joined Exodus Travel as a porter in the Annapurna and Everest regions. Guided by passion and a love for the mountains, Chandra soon became a trusted trekking leader. Over 24 years, he has led more than 200 adventures, including 60 Everest Base Camp treks, countless cultural and wildlife journeys, and unforgettable experiences that share the beauty and spirit of Nepal with travellers.
