Konig Ludwig Lauf

In Germany's finest cross-country ski location, the Ammergau's extensive network of skating trails offers some of the best skiing in the Alps. It is also the location of one of the most famous cross-country skiing races in Europe: the König Ludwig Lauf in Oberammergau. This year is the 40th anniversary of the 50km race and it promises to be one of the most exciting ever. Eric Woolley, a Snow Sport England Coach/Tutor will focus on the preparation for the race, offering coaching in skating technique, so we can be fully prepared for the big event. Thanks the Ammergau Valley's excellent loipe system, we can enjoy many circuits to practice on in the area. For those who feel like 50km are too much of a challenge, it is possible to enter the shorter race of 23km, which takes place on the same day.
