Charging digital cameras

Hi, Am I likely to be able to charge my digital camera while In Nepal, or should I be packing my 35mm and film instead?

We did this trip two years ago. There is no problem charging the batteries in the

main hotels (don't forget your mains two pin adaptor) but when you're on the treks

staying in the teahouses they ask for a small fee to plug it in for a few hours. We didn't

have a digital camera at the time but wish we did.

Thanks for this. Much appreciated

Don't know what sort of camera and batteries you use but I did the Annapurna Circuit last year and I have a Canon DSLR and had the same concerns so I bought some cheap alternative batteries before I left and charged them all up (bought 4 at £5 each compared with Canon's genuine article at £50 each!) - they all held their charge for the three weeks and worked fine at the low temperatures up on the Thorong La pass.
