Anyone else doing this?

It would be great to hear from anyone else booked on this trip.  This is my first foray into winter hillwalking (unless 5 days in N Wales) counts.  I'm a bit nervous, but also looking forward to the challenge.

I did the trip in May, excellent trip but there was still an awful lot of snow.  The winter one will be really tough but I am sure really rewarding.  Our guide recommended that you had some experience before taking it on so you may want to learn some techniques before you go.

Hi Trish.  Thanks for the tip, although I'm not sure where/when I'll get the chance to practice before I go to Toubkal.  I saw from your profile that you did Kili too.  How did the two compare?  Also, did you have to use crampons as well?  Any advice welcome!  Susan

Don't be put off, just maybe worthwhile checking with exodus on your experience, I know it says you don't have to have but the Toubkal guides were a bit concerned about that.  That said, they are very good and I am sure will look after you well.  The first part of the trip was easy, only the ascent and descent was harder but the views make it worthwhile.  Not as hard as Kili, probably due to the altitude, Kili still a haze for me!

So many trips, not enough time or money to do them all!

Hi Susan

Are you still booked on this trip. A couple of weeks ago I phoned the company up to see how many other people are booked on the trip and they told me I'm the only one. Did you pull out or were they wrong?

Hi Mel

Unfortunately, I've had to pull out for a number of reasons.  I'm doing the slightly later anti-atlas trek instead and will reconsider Toubkal next year.

I do hope that other people sign up to go with you, and that you have a wonderful time.
