Anyone going on this one?

I just booked last night onto the Mont Blanc Circuit, was wondering if anyone else out there is going on it or has done this one in the past?

yep, I'm on that one.

A friend did it last year with exodus and recomended it - it should be good.

Does watching the Tour de France on telly count as training?

I'm in too, Chris. Flying from East Midlands.

KTMB, depends if it was live or the highlights.

Unfortunately it was the highlights, so probably doesn't count.

Paul and I live in the East Midlands, but strangely we're flying from Heathrow...

Whilst out walking at the weekend we were talking to someone who did this trip with Exodus about 10 years ago and couldn't speak highly enough of it.

Well I live in Leeds but somehow am flying out of London City airport!

Yea, I'm heading out from London City as well. In terms of training I've just been doing normal walks and such, just not as often as I'd have liked (new job).

Any of you traveled with Exodus before?

Nope, never travelled with Exodus before, I have done similar with other companies.

Booked into the Travel Lodge at London City Airport the night before the flights - £29 deal when booked early!

Nice, what ones have you done before?

The Travel Lodge seems like a good idea, I may look at that myself. Despite living close there's a distinct lack of trains that early in the morning!

Have done a few with Exodus before as this is my 10th (got the discount finally!). All been great. Guess we will compare notes and have wish list chats between the steep bits. Have met a few folk who have done this trip including a couple of friends. Bit of a classic.

What time does the group flight get into Geneva? I should meet you there.

I have been on a couple of treks with a company called Guerba, Everest base camp in 2000 and Morocco in 2004...

The SwissAir flight ex-London city gets to Geneva at  10:30am on 27th Aug

Our Swiss Air flight leaves Heathrow at 7 am and arrives in Geneva at 9 something...

I'm feeling a bit inadequate now, having read that Robin has been to Everest base camp.  The highest I've been recently is a couple of ascents of Thorp Cloud in Derbyshire - oh dear!  Paul busy trying to toughen up his feet with regular applications of surgical spirit in the hope that this will help to prevent blisters.

Are there any other females out there going on this trip?   I'm not sure that I shall relish the thought of being the only woman in a group of 15 men (but then again...)

Ha, my Everest trip was a long time ago!!

Mostly just wandering round the Yorks Dales these days.
