I am Carla, joining you on the Tibet Explorer trip.

I am 36, Scottish and very keen to find out who I am traveling with.

Get in touch

Hi Carla.  Annette here.  I am Irish born - a fellow Celt but I do not have the lovely accent having moved to England at age 3!  Just had my 50-somethingth birthday and am travelling with Bill, just turned 60 so we are "just a bit" older than you.  During the trip, we reach our 35th year together so have shared many years enjoying all kinds of holiday breaks.  We love the Himalayan Kingdoms; this is a return visit to Nepal but our first trip to Tibet - can't wait! When celebrating my 50th, we went on a great trip via Calcutta, Darjeeling and Sikkim to Bhutan.  Another time we did the Everest flight in Nepal.  However, equally, we are lovers of Greece, Italy - well, pretty much anywhere!  We're a bit unprepared for this trip - haven't even looked into whether we need to carry a sleeping bag for Rombuk.  It seems like we are in for a chilly night there but maybe we could hire one if only needed for the one night.  Are you going prepared?  Look forward to meeting you soon.

Hi Annette,

Lovely to here from you, am happy someone replied !!.

I am taking a sleeping bag, just want to be super prepared.

Not long to go, I am so very excited to make this trip. Tibet is a place I have wanted to visit for about 13 years so its very special to me to be eventually fullfilling a dream.

Look forward to meeting you both,

please do not brieng any pitures of Dalai Lama as well as books with has pitures on it.

Best regards

Is it possible to hire a sleeping bag (and at what cost) as carrying two sleeping bags for just one night bearing in mind the space/weight they take up in aircraft luggage allowance seems a bit of a waste?

Hey Carla, I was pleased to find out there are 11 of us, a good mixture of male/female and ages ranging from 30's to 60.  Bill is not used to being one of the most ancient in the group!

We look forward to meeting and sharing this adventure with you both later this week.

Thanks for writing yes it is possible to hired sleeping bags from Nepal but not from Tibet, we exodus charge 25 sterling pond for hireing a sleeping bag but you need to hired for whole trip 16 days even you only need for 1 day, if you have 2 sleeping bag then you only brieng one of them there will extra quilt or blanket in the guest house too.
