Hi

If this is the one with Johnathon Scott , I'm on it too! Getting very excited - not had any bad side effects yet from the jab's - bonus.

My first proper safari -  can't wait.

I am coming along too along with 2 friends of mine....none of us have done a proper safari before and yes - we are all also very excited. The camera has been purchased and now all I have to do is work out how to use it!

Buster

Hi ElleB and friends, its nice to hear from more members of the group.Hope you are getting good results from your camera, there will be so much to capture on film in Kenya and you won`t want to miss anything. Derek

p.s. It`s getting nearer.

well i should introduce us - it is Elle, Nikki and Catherine. None of us having done safari but a couple of us have been to Africa for other stuff.....can't work my camera yet - may have to be a trial and error approach but that's the joy of digital. looking forward to meeting everyone.....the trip gets great reviews!

Just been thinking about preparing fro the trip and was wondering what currency everyone was taking their money in. there seems to be various opinions so not sure which to go for? Plus, just wondering whether people were taking big holdalls or rucksacks? It diffcult to know exactly what to pack as I have never done this before!

 Not long to go now!

Buster

Hi Gem,just reading your last message,i think it might be as well to take a mixture of currency, some  u.s. dollars some kenyan shillings and some sterling. As far as the  rucksack / holdall that's questionable, myself i usually take a rucksack when i am trekking but a holdall when i am being transported about.Well its getting closer and i am looking forward to meeting everyone. counting the days.   Derek
