Cycling Vietnam and Angkor Wat

Hi all

My husband Rob and I are doing this trip in December with the Angkor Wat extension at the front. Would be great to get to know people before the actual trip so get in touch.

 See you soon

Kerry & Robin

Hi, I've just booked onto this trip too, it looks fantastic.

I will be travelling on my own, so be great to make contact beforehand with others!

im on this trip as well ,travelling independantly il be in saigon from the 17th .really looking forward to it

Hello guys! Glad someone is joining us, thought it might be a miserable Christmas and New Year on our own for a while there.

We are really looking forward to this trip it's only 12 weeks away now I can hardly believe it, it's come round so quickly. Rob and I live in Brighton and Rob is a seasoned cyclist, but I'm not so we've been out for a few training trips so far. I am currently laid low with a really bad cold and am getting worried about the lack of training, but I'm sure he'll put me through my paces as soon as I am back on my feet.

What about you? Have you done any trips like this before? Or been to Vietnam?

Look forward to meeting you both in December

Kerry & Rob

never been to vietnam ,ive met a few people who have been there and they all say it is a fantastic country

2 years ago i did the cycle trip round south sfrica winelands which was fantastic and great way to see a country

Hi Alan, did you do your SA trip through Exodus too? The feedback on here looks almost too good to be true, would be good to hear what it's like straight from someone who has been.

I've just noticed that there are now 2 itineraries for this trip, one for 2010 and one for 2011 and they are slightly different so I'm going to check which we are doing and let you all know.

As for me, my training has truely started with over 90 miles under my belt. This weekend we went up to the Downs, lots of uphill and offroad - getting fitter by the day.

There are 18 people booked on this trip apparently a good crowd of us to be spending Christmas and New year together!!

Happy training and see you very soon
Kerry and Rob

David on live chat has confirmed we will be on the 2010 itinerary. the 2011 one does give a bit more info on the number of kms per day cycline though

I've never been on a cycling holiday before, so slightly worried about my fitness, been running and cycling to work but probably going to be very glad of the support bus! and I haven't been to S.E Asia either so any hints or tips gratefully received. Very excited, this looks like the most fantastic way to see the countries, you are right, the feedback looks almost too good to be true!

Hi all

We are also booked on this trip. Don't worry Jen our training starts tomorrow ! I knew we would not get much cycling in now the nights are dark so Ruth has signed me up for a temp gym membership and we are starting spin classes twice a week from tomorrow. The trip sounds fab, not sure about advice for SE Asia, food is great, plenty of vegetarian options, I would probably would suggest a visit to the chemist for upset stomach precautions, lightweight wick type clothes that can be washed out easily as cotton may not have time to dry overnight due to humidity. Off to get our visas this week.
