Vietnam and what to take

Hi  Im on MOV cycling vietnam from 22nd Dec-Jan6th im not entirely sure on what to take, will i need things like sleeping bags and mozzie nets for sleeping etc. I know it gets cold in the north from November to March but how cold is cold? Would appreciate some help. Many thanks

Thanks for the tip, what did you take in the way of currency was it dollars or dong?

Hi junior100,

I am an Exodus Exec for that trip. I think smarro's advise about jacke is great. it can get cold that time of the year, but is't not going to be extreme. lightweight jacket would do.

in terms of currency, SE Asia is easy. all you need is your bank card. ATM's are in many places. Just register your card with your bank, so they'll know you will be using it in Asia.

Also, something like $200 in cash as an emergency is advisable to take.

hope that helps!

BTW, i am doing the same trip from 1 dec to 15 dec. feel free to give me a call on 0208 772 3923 after 15 Dec and i'll tell you all about the trip!

Hey guys, several months on but wondering if you can help....

I am all set to cycle Vietnam on the 27th April and was wondering whether i should get the rabies job or not. the nurse said it would be beneficial as it's a cycling tour and dogs tend to chase bikes. I would hope they weren't going to snap at my ankles as I go past, lol. Did you see the need to have it?

Also did you take malaria tablets? Am assuming a sleeping bag isn't required but would you say it's worth taking a mosquito net. They love my blood!!

Loved your utube video, great pics btw smarro :)
