Walking in Tuscany

I now have photos from our recent trip in Tuscany. Please contact me if you would like to see them.

i'm going soon,

I need a little advice about clothing for the evening . Do you have any tips?

How tough is the walking by the way( I have never been on a walking holiday before.....oh and how much money should I take?

I typed this once then lost it - apologies if you get it twice.

Photos uploaded on my facebook page Natalie Walker. You might also like to look at Elizabeth Seakins's photos on face book - they are lovely.

As far as your questions: you don't really need any dressy clothes. Most meals, apart from 2, are at the farm house. I just like to be comfy and I recommend trousers as there are lots of mosquitos. You don't need a lot of spending money, just for odd drink/ice cream. There are 2 evening meals out, but not expensive and there is one free day where we went on train to town called Lucca and had lunch - ticket and lunch not very expensive. I think the walk programme may vary depending on weather. It was very hot when we went but quite a lot of walking is forested which is nice. Make sure you take a sun hat. The walking is well paced with lots of rests and an expert guide - I am sure you will enjoy.

thanks for replying...I was beginning to fret abit as time for holiday approaches.

I have never used facebook but will gice a go

Thanks again

I am due to go to Tuscany in September and am very excited and am getting everything organised.  I am flying out on the group flight and realise that we will arrive at the farmhouse quite late and was wondering what happens about eating on the first night.  Do you get food provided or do need to find food yourself that night?  If it is the later how easy did you find this?  Sorry for the questions, any other information anyone has will be gratefully received.

Thanks  S

Our group flight arrived at lunch time and its a 2 hour transfer to the farm so we arrived in plenty of time for dinner, which was served at the farm. If your flight time is different, then I don't know the exact arrangement, but something will definitely be organised, whether at the farm or elsewhere so don't worry. You can always email exodus and ask them; just quote your reference number. I think the guide in charge of this particular trip is called stepania - I asked her a few questions and she was v. helpful.
