Close to Mount Kinabalu, a World Heritage Site, you’ll find the Pekan Nabalu communityTo support the recovery of tourism in the region, our local Exodus operator has been working with the local community to create a new tourist attraction in the form of a waterfall, local walking trails and natural swimming pools for travellers to enjoyThe Community Kickstart Project will fund the building of another shorter and more accessible jungle trekking trail to ensure this beautiful community built landmark can easily and safely be enjoyed by all. This initiative will support the livelihood of the local community by providing more reasons for tourists, including those on Exodus trips, to stop and explore the area.

"By having new tourist attraction in the area, we will attract not only international tourist but also local people to stop over in Pekan Nabalu before trekking down to the waterfall, meaning more business for local vendors. We will also be engaging local people to do the guiding, therefore providing new job opportunities in the area.
