Ever since we took our very first group of travellers to the heart of Afghanistan in the back of our Bedford truck, on a mission, to see the world for ourselves in 1974, trekking has been engrained into our DNA. And with so many incredible peaks and valleys to explore across the 90 different countries we visit, we’re excited to add a collection of new trips that showcase a different side to some of the world’s most revered trekking trails and mountainous viewpoints.
On our new Nubra Valley Trek, in the Indian Himalaya, you’ll pass Buddhist temples, ancient monasteries and bazaars while taking in spectacular panoramas of the Karakorum mountain range, the Snia Valley and the Thanglasgo valleys enroute. We’ve also launched a special departure Everest Base Camp – 70th Anniversary Trek that celebrates Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay’s first trailblazing journey to summit the world’s tallest peak which includes a riveting talk from a guest speaker closely connected to Hillary and Norgay’s record-breaking ascent in 1953.
From the peaks of the Himalayas to Norway’s sweeping Fjords, our Walking the Fjords adventure takes you on epic treks through Jostedal National Park to visit the Bergset and Nigards glacier and on an unforgettable hike through Mørkrisdalen, one of the most scenic valleys in the country. While our Dalmatian Coast on Foot – Premium Adventure offers a new twist on an old favourite, with premium accommodation, in the four-star Hotel Adria in Dubrovnik and Hotel Elaphusa on Brac Island. Both come complete with outdoor pools and spectacular sea views.
