Great location, walks, hotel, hotel staff and guide.
Fantastic scenery and beautiful towns.

Memorable experience, smooth operation and fantastic guide.
The beauty of Madeira, was captured in the 8 day itinerary wonderfully. The best hike was Day 2 Walk to Ponta de Sao Lourenco and Day 3 coastal walk to Porto da Cruz.
Bruno was PERFECT. At the very first day, he set the right tone which was to enjoy the journey, and admire the surrounding views, in a relaxed pace. Bruno allowed everyone to hike at their own comfortable level while always keeping a close eye on the group. He moved from front to back ensuring all were safe and chatted with each person. Besides lunch stop, there were plenty of breaks where we could rest, and admire lovely views. It all felt very unhurried.
Machu Picchu and Galapagos.
This was an absolutely phenomenal trip. We went in April/May 2026 and we were fortunate to be in a group of 12 extremely friendly people. Everyone was very helpful to their fellow travellers.
As the tour details state, this is moderate level. It is not for the feint of heart (or lungs, muscles, stamina, etc.)…lol. You will be continually on the go. If you do not suffer from FOMO, then you could to take a couple of breaks from the group and relax. Otherwise, it’s a very active itinerary. You get to see so many things that you certainly would not see if you were to book something on your own. By staying at local accommodations, you have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the local culture.
The Inca Trail hike was a bit of a challenge for me, but everyone survived it and was very supportive of each other and their limitations. Machu Picchu was awe-inspiring and we were fortunate to be there on a sunny day. I loved the city of Cusco, with its many attractions. It’s small enough that you can walk and see many of the wonders available.
Quito was a bit of a short stay. It was great to see some of the local culture, and to enjoy the experience from our visit to the Equator.
Galapagos was on my bucket list, and I’d go back there in a heartbeat. By staying at hotels on the different islands, we were able to partake in some local culture after our daily excursions. Everything was very well organized, for boats, buses, planes, etc. etc. that we had to access. The wildlife in Galapagos is amazing. We got to see blue-footed boobies, frigate birds, sea turtles, stingrays, sharks, penguins…I could go on forever.
This was a remarkable tour and Exodus did an outstanding job of organizing such an incredible experience.
Sighting of blue-footed boobies, and all of the wildlife in both countries.
Ollie, our guide in Peru, ensured that everyone was kept well informed, and was fabulous at sharing his extreme knowledge on this guided tour. THANK YOU,OLLIE. You were wonderful as a tour leader. Our Galapagos tour guide, Richard, definitely kept us on our toes. The wildlife is amazing and Richard was very informative. It was great to see how considerate our guide was for the natural wildlife habitats.
I would suggest arriving a couple of days early to Cusco to help acclimatize. I was fortunate and did not have issues with the altitude, but a couple of other group members were not so lucky. Best to allow some adjustment time, rather than not feeling well once the tour starts. By going early, we were able to book a tour to Palcoyo, the alternative to Rainbow Mountain. The elevation at Palcoyo is not as high as Rainbow, and therefore more manageable. Stunning vistas at the mountain but also on the ride. If time allows, it would be a great excursion for people to consider. Keep in mind that it does take a full day for Palcoyo because of the long commute.
Lovely trip; I felt very well looked after. Seeing gorillas up close will stay with me for a long time, and such good sightings were unbelievable. You do need to be reasonably fit to do this trip.
Seeing gorillas up close and also seeing pangolins, the world's most trafficked animal.
Umar and Sam were great, professional and caring. Also extremely knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make sure we had a brilliant trip.
Take walking poles and good walking shoes or boots. Take gaiters. Book the extra activities in advance, especially the extra gorilla day. Hire a porter for the walk. Be prepared for long drives and lots of walking. Be prepared for a full-on trip. Unfortunately, we arrived at the first hotel at midnight and left early the next day. I think it would be advisable for Exodus to look at this – maybe organise an earlier flight and then do a tour of the city. Also, as a lone female traveller, I found some of the lodges quite isolated, especially the last one, which was about a 10-minute walk from my lodge and had no phone signal. Although I did love the view and had a warthog sitting on my doorstep. Thankfully, the lovely group I was with made sure I got back safely. To their credit, Sam did offer to move me to a lodge closer; however, I only had one night left by this point. That being said, it's an amazing trip, definitely once in a lifetime.
Another fantastic cycling and cultural adventure. The Indonesian people showed us nothing but friendliness and warm inviting smiles. Memories to treasure.
Day 3 cycle up to the crater rim of Batur Volcano gave us all a real sense of achievement. Day 7 hike up to the sulphurous crater lake of IJEN volcano presented a diversionary challenge from cycling and was worth every step we took to get there.
Wira and his support team did a tremendous job in making this an experience never to be forgotten. They kept us fed and hydrated for the entirety of the trip. We were constantly kept up to date with the geography, politics, flora and fauna and all aspects of Indonesian culture. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
A challenging trip worth every ounce of effort required. Overall the cycling was moderate except for a couple of tough days. Dig in and the rewards will be replete.
The Tour du Mont Blanc is an iconic trek and was a fantastic experience with treks in France , Italy and Switzerland as we circled the Mont Blanc area. 10 days of long walks with large ascents and descents often on difficult terrain. Camping adds its own challenges . 3 rest days were useful to recover and have opportunity to explore courmayeur and Chamonix . Overall a great trip and would recommend it
So many but in particular I loved the last 2 days with trek up to Col de Tricot and Brevent
Tim was our guide and was excellent- took real interest in everyone, always had time for anyone, kept group together which was hard with differing levels of fitness, explained and showed us the flora and fauna etc and got us safely round a difficult trek. Also should mention the camp manager Albert who was great cook, very amenable and a great entertainer and fascinating character
Do it- it’s great. But this isn’t a walk in the park- it is physically demanding and it’s probably unfair on fellow trekkers and yourself if you are constantly struggling and holding the group up because the terrain, ascents and distances etc are too much. Camp life is fun and easier and enjoyable if the group helps share chores.
We like having an enriched experience with the local trip leaders. Our bike trip is also a learning experience about the history and agriculture as well as enjoying local foods . We loved seeing the local markets and staying in small hotels as well as visiting the Medronho Distillery. Joan shared local history by stopping at key points to tell the history of Portugal and the significance of the architectural site or monument
We enjoyed riding on the Fisherman's trail along the shoreline and stopping to see the beautiful beaches. the lunches were wonderful and Victor did an outstanding job of coordinating the local dishes to try while in Portugal.
Joao was an absolute outstanding leader. He took great care of everyone no matter their biking skill and made it fun for all. He was also a lot of fun to be around. Between he and Victor the shuttle driver they mad sure everything was taken care and everyone had a great time. They were always going far beyond what would be expected. As an example one of the bike rider's lost his phone. First Joao went back to look for it while Victor keep the rid going.
Exceptional guide and good food. Liked the small group.
Beautiful area we were hiking in. Great food. Enjoyed the two wine tastings. Water taxi ride in Venice.
He was exceptional - great communicator, thoughtful, flexible, organized, and fun to be with.
Beverly Chin, was a lovely and gentle soul woman who made sure we were happy and had an enjoyable experience! She was lovely to talk to and everyone loved having her around and made our experience the best seeing all the incredible surreal moments with the animals! James Ling was the best host for the second part of the trip, he made it the best trip to remember! He was kind, lovely, approachable and made excellent cake and food suggestions and going beyond the itinerary and making it a wonderful experience i wont forget! It was the best trip to remember! He made sure we get the best service in restaurants, booking in advance and made the most out of our trip including the theatre, the boat trip, penang hill sky walk etc. We all need people like beverly chin and james ling on exodus trips because they truly are the best tour guides!
Borneo seeing the animals including orangutans, sun bear, elephants and crocodiles! Also the second part of the trip exploring different food tours in different towns/ places, doing different activities like the theatre, boat trip, penang hill sky walk, exploring temples, art culture streets, history etc! Everything to be honest!! I loved every moment
He was lovely, easy to talk to, funny and kind person in general! He made sure everyone was satisfied and got the best service in restaurants, made the most of our experience and going above and beyond the itinerary and made it the best experience I won't forget! He made the best cake and food suggestions! We all need people like james ling as tour guides
