All the walks were great and distinctly different to each other in some way.

The walks, guide, chalet hosts and food were all excellent. However there was a massive range in the room size/ standard/ noise level / view at chalet Chocolat . It felt very unfair to have paid the same as everyone else ( and booked well in advance: March 1st 2022) and yet I was allocated a very poor room . It was tiny with a small window onto the front gravel drive . The only downstairs room : adjacent to the communal lounge and a communal toilet and closest to the road . I really feel this room ( and the velux window room upstairs ) ought to be offered at a lesser price and never as a room share. The beds in room 5 ( my downstairs room) were about a foot apart both pushed against the wall with just a tiny shared bedside table between. I felt I had to lock the door when I was in the room as someone could easily mistake the toilet door and room 5 door.
All the walks were great and distinctly different to each other in some way.

We had such a great holiday which was made even better by having our guide Nostalia show us the way from start to finish. We were fortunate to see some very rare and unusual wildlife including Pygmy Elephants. With our guide’s help we were able to see some things that we would likely have missed otherwise: baby crocodiles, hornbills etc.
Seeing a herd of Wild Pygmy Elephants was a definite highlight. But, there were many amazing parts of the trip. Too many to count.
Our group leader, Nostalia, was brilliant. She was knowledgeable about everything and her enthusiasm for conservation shone through. Don’t underestimate the value of having a good guide on a holiday like this!
The adventure lodge may not have hire boots to fit you if like me you have big feet. Folks in Malaysia tend to be smaller on average so size 12+ boots are a rare breed! Bring shoes that you can hose down. Remember that the accommodation is not supposed to be luxury. If you keep this in mind you won’t be disappointed as all accommodation exceeded our expectations.
Memorable trip across Sabah taking in the best the island has to offer – all delivered by a brilliant & knowledgable guide.
Seeing groups of rare Pygmy elephants in the wild. Seeing orangutans families. Staying with a Bornean family in their home, exploring the foothills of Kinubalu.
10/10. Organised, knowledgeable, friendly and passionate. Nostalia is an exceptional group leader.
Book it!
An amazing trip to South Africa – which included so much. Wildlife, Sea-life, Scenery, Culture, History and Wine Tasting.
Too many moments to mention. The Whales The Elephants Robben Island
Our group leader Petro Pretorius made the trip. Her knowledge, kindness, planning really made the holiday perfect. She is a 10+ out of 10.
Just do it!
Namibia is a wonderful country, and in our experience full of happy people smiling! There has to be a lot of driving to see the main places, but it’s worth it.
The trip to the desert, and to Etosha were magical. Some of us took a 4x4 vehicle over the sand dules which was very much worth the payment. Watching the wildlife come to you att he Okaukueja waterhole was excellent. We wended up having two nights here, and only one at Namutoni. This was good as the latter's waterhole is hardly visible and we never saw animals there.
Gabriel was excellent at helping us get the best out of all the activities.
Take eye drops for dusty eyes. And a plastic bag for your camera in the desert - if you drop it the iron oxide will damage the electronics. Your clothes will get incredibly dusty, but just accept that! The best place if you want small souvenirs is day 7 after you leave Brandberg - the craft market on the last day was disappointing.

This is a brilliant trip. The itinerary is varied and you really feel like you have seen this beautiful coastline. Our guide (Ivan) was superb. He was very organised and looked after everyone in the group. This is a holiday that you should sign up for it you love culture!
This is a great trip for seeing the Amalfi Coast. You cover a lot within a week. There were 2 hikes for more active group members. There is also a chance to see the beautiful Italian architecture in towns such as Amalfi, Positano and Ravello. Our guide (Sev) integrated us into the Italian culture well and made everyone laugh! The hotel is a friendly warm place. The staff host cooking demonstrations some of the evenings, which was great fun.
The trip is a good a mix of seeing different destinations in Namibia and finding a lot of wildlife, particular in Etosha. The route is well planned and the long drive have a few stops with some good thought on why you stop there. The optional activities in Swakopmund where good (we did the boat tour and dune bashing, which was excellent)! I would recommend adding it to the main itinerary as it was probably our best day.
Seeing the only desert elephants in the world, which is an optional excursion (£17.50), should definitely be included in the itinerary. Sitting at the waterhole in Okaukuejo camp was unbelievable with constant wildlife (giraffes, elephants, rhinos, jackals, zebras, wildebeests etc) there for you to view.
Gabriel was a very helpful and kind leader. He was extremely knowledgable about Namibia and all the wildlife it had to offer. He also had a good sense of humour and cooked good meals throughout the tour. The only thing to improve on would be the information on optional tours as we wouldn’t know until a few hours before and the clients would always bring it up. A simple sheet with trips, days and prices would have been perfect.
Ensure you pack good walking shoes and a thick coat/hat in winter as it gets very cold of a night. Food was good throughout and restaurants/cafes were mostly really good. Would be difficult for a vegetarian as most dishes are meat based.
This trip more than lived up to my expectations with wonderful hosts (Clare and Liz) and a great guide (Jef). From start to finish everything was organised extremely well, the weather was perfect, the treks and the scenery magnificent, informative information from our guide and all topped off with great food every day.
Seeing their sun rise over the mountains in the morning and setting in the evening.
He was a great leader. He had all the qualities necessary to make this trip comfortable and enjoyable for everyone: - understanding of the group and their different abilities -understanding of the terrain and the challenges - knowledge of the area - an all important sense of humour
