Truly a wonderful adventure
Everything about this trip went beyond my expectations. Our thoughtful and knowledgeable guide Nacho was a delight! The other members of my group (there were 15 of us) were lots of fun and we felt like family by the last day. The scenery was spectacular and the hikes were challenging but not over the top. I cannot say enough positive things about this trip except it was rather hot and humid while we were there and ceiling fans in the rooms would have been a welcome addition. The hotel overall was comfortable, convenient location and the meals were incredible! Don’t hesitate to book this trip if you want to see Spain off the beaten path.
Most Inspirational Moment
Communion with the cows! Listening to those cowbells was so incredibly peaceful and centering.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Nacho was fabulous. I have a knee problem so was not able to make the more challenging ascents and he was very thoughtful and never made me feel uneasy or embarrassed. Exodus is very lucky to have him.
Advice for Potential Travellers
If you go in the summer, it is pretty hot and there is no air conditioning in the hotel. Be prepared to sweat a bit at night.

Hard but Worthwhile
The trip is very much a level 5 treking trip rather than a walking trip. Be aware some of the climbs are very physically hard.
Most Inspirational Moment
Being able to complete the "longest" trek in the middle of the trip. Plus stunning views
Thoughts on Group Leader
Validimir was excellent. A really good treking leader and lots in funny and interesting stories to keep us amused.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Do not underestimate how hard this trip is physically. There are lots of steep sections over boulders. I have dodgy knees. I have done other treking holidays and never had a problem but this time I had to miss some of the days to rest my knees.
Having said that this is good trip if you do need to rest since it is centre based so you can just have a day of relaxing.

A really good, well balanced holiday with an inspired leader
Walking the Amalfi Coast was a really delightful holiday. True enough, walking in the hills in the middle of summer is not everybody’s idea of fun but most of the walking was at either a reasonably cool height or close to the sea breezes. Almost all the walks were at least partly in shade which made a lot of difference in a week of cloudless skies. The walking was not that difficult and needed only a moderate amount of fitness. Plenty of breaks for fluids were factored in.
Walking was interspersed with two days off. One at Pompeii and Vesuvius; a second with a range of alternatives.
Very comfortable friendly hotel with excellent simple Italian food. Delicious!
Most Inspirational Moment
The Walk of the Gods over to Positano was beautiful with spectacular views down the coast.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Martina was an outstanding group leader. It would be hard to improve on her skills. We were a pretty mixed bunch. Sixteen of us, aged sixteen to eighty from Britain, America and the Antipodes might have been a bit of a challenge for any group leader but she got it absolutely spot on.
Those of us who saw it will never forget her dance with the goatherd at the Bomerano World Music Festival!
Advice for Potential Travellers
Although the overall grading of the holiday is about right, be prepared to do some sustained uphill walking, even if the distances are not that long and the ascent each day is fairly moderate. Anyone who is reasonably fit and active can manage this.
