The prerfect mix
Walking the Amalfi Coast exceeded my expectations. The mix of moderate walking at a gentle pace in stunning scenery mixed with staying in a friendly family hotel with great hospitality and fabulous Italian food.
Most Inspirational Moment
The views from the Walk of the Gods
Thoughts on Group Leader
Severio our guide was one of the best guides I have come across in 20 years of walking holidays. Thank you.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Lots and lots of steps so you need good knees . Recommend walking poles. Not difficult but Amalfi is either up or down.

Undulating
This was my first Exodus cycling trip, it will not be the last!! This trip takes you through some gorgeous Italian countryside, with mountains, lakes and vineyards. In addition you visit some beautiful and historic cities. We were fortunate to have bad weather on the last day which meant that cycling was abandoned in favour of the train to Venice and a full day walking tour of the city!
Most Inspirational Moment
Travelling with a great bunch of people who were fun to be with, supportive and encouraging.
Completing the ‘big’ climbs!
Thoughts on Group Leader
Michele is an inspirational group leader who goes out of his way to make sure that everyone has a memorable experience, nothing is too much for him.
Martino likewise was very supportive especially on the ‘big’ climbs.
They made an excellent team
Advice for Potential Travellers
If you get the opportunity to miss out the last day of cycling and spend a full day in Venice take it!

Delightful Douro
A very well organised trip with excellent guides, wonderful weather, good hotels and food all bound together with a group of varied, vibrant and interesting companions.
Most Inspirational Moment
Lunch in the Vineyard at Quinta das escomoeiras and a wonderful morning walk.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Very knowledgeable and also supportive to those who were unwell at the beginning of the trip, which was so important.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Reserve space in your luggage to bring back plenty of Vinho Verde.

Gorge - ous Greece
A varied week of great walking, stunning scenery and delightful villages – led by Aris, an excellent guide, and enjoyed in the company of some excellent fellow travellers.
Most Inspirational Moment
The first proper sight of the Vikos Gorge (followed closely by the Monasteries atop the rocks of Meteora)
Thoughts on Group Leader
Excellent - professional, friendly, accommodating, sensitive to the group's needs and abilities and he laughed at my jokes
Advice for Potential Travellers
Make sure you have warm layers for the night in the refuge - it can get cold in there. That said, those who used the blankets provided rather than lugging a sleeping bag up the mountain did seem happy enough with them. Oh, and be warned, they only have one COLD shower!

Jackpot in Tuscany!
For me, this holiday struck the perfect balance, encompassing Five varied walks, home cooking and a day of culture in Lucca.
The walks themselves presented us with colourful memories around every corner, whether it be a spiritual shrine, an `out of the blue` stone monument of a world famous pop star ( I wont spoil your surprise!) or simply stunning views.
Our World-class Guide, Sara, was always a step ahead of any request or challenge we met allowing us to fully absorb the splendours of this beautiful part of the world.
Thank you!
Most Inspirational Moment
The walks which veered into sheltered woodlands-I loved the feel and smell of the trees.
Thoughts on Group Leader
World class
Advice for Potential Travellers
For those whom have not used walking poles, this is a great opportunity to learn .
Sara provide the use of poles and instructions.

excellent trip
Wonderful combination of walks, wine , villages and cities, with a nice group of people.
Weather sunny but not too hot, allowing half day hilly walks in comfort and
the scenery was even better than anticipated, thanks to previous spring rain.
The planning was excellent, but there was enough time to do our thing .
Most Inspirational Moment
Siena. The local guide was charming and painted a lively picture of rivalry between the communities for the Palio. The Campo is stunning
Thoughts on Group Leader
Liz was great- energetic, well organised, knowledgeable, thoughtful and fun
Advice for Potential Travellers
We paid extra for a guided tour of Florence. The city was very crowded , and following the guide in a group was not worth the effort, though she was very (too?) informative. There is not time to view all Florence has to offer in a day.
I would advise strolling round to see the Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo, the Piazza della Signoria , then a leisurely lunch followed by a visit to the Boboli and Bardini gardens. Or perhaps a week's stay in winter!

An amazing camping and canoeing trip
This trip was a truly wonderful experience, canoeing on the Zambezi and camping out under the Milky Way on sandy islands in the middle of the river. We saw very few people and it almost seemed like we had the mighty river to ourselves – only sharing it with hippos, crocodiles, elephants and birds. Paddling downstream with the current the route varied between wide stretches of river and between reed beds on narrower channels, which enabled us to get close to the wildlife. A great group, great guides and a fantastic trip.
Most Inspirational Moment
Camping on the islands under the stars surrounded by the river and wildlife.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Excellent
Advice for Potential Travellers
This is not for people who want constant social media contact or a hot shower every day.

A walk on the wild side.
This is a wonderful trip to gladden the heart of anyone who enjoys walking in fabulous rugged mountains, alonside (and over) mountain streams and through meadows and forests. For someone like myself who is a rabid plantaholic it brings the added delight of myriad wild flowers including some very beautiful orchids. The walks were all great come rain or shine and included visiting picturesque villages and learning a smattering of history with forts and menhir. There is also a chance to visit the coast which happily has not had rampant development. The hotel is situated close to the village rail station which was ideal for hopping on to get to the start of the walks. I can reccommend aiding the local economy by visiting the bakery and at the end of a walk relaxing in a local bar, maybe with a beer or pastisse, although not compulsory it was a great way to end a great day of walking.
Most Inspirational Moment
I loved the scenery and the peaceful walks not often meeting other people and of course the swathes of colour of the wild flowers.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Martin is a good leader who obviously enjoys his work and has a great sense of humour which all adds to the pleasure of the holiday, he is also caring of all the group.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Ensue you have plenty of energy, good footwear, rain wether gear and adequate water bottles. Do not expect much bird life.
