Foothills of the Himalaya

So interesting on many levels. Pace good. Good size group. I really enjoyed all the things we saw on the travel but the journeys were pretty long!

Most Inspirational Moment

Seeing Indian life. Deepening my understanding of Indian culture and its religions. Hardiwar - seeing people bathing the Ganges etc Aarti Ceremony. Town of Shimila Golden Temple - both in the day and night

Thoughts on Group Leader

Sukrit was an amazing leader. Not sure how he managed to keep us all on track and together in one big group given the business of some of places we visited. We had amazing knowledge and interest in many things.. always keen to take questions. He was enthusiastic, professional and engaged well with all of the group as appropriate. You could see the amount of work the role undertook and he did amazingly well.

Excellent itinerary with an excellent Tour Leader

Most Inspirational Moment

Sailing in Milford Sound. The whole country was beautiful.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Excellent, Jordan did everything expected and more.

Advice for Potential Travellers

Avoid Dubai!

Discover Sri Lanka

Well organised and paced trip with lots of variety – nature, history, etc. Helpful and patient sales team. Excellent guide, driver and conductor whilst on tour. Good back office support when our return flights were repeatedly cancelled.

Most Inspirational Moment

The Horton Plains walk, Sigiriya and the visit to the local farm, but every day brought something wonderful. Also the people of Sri Lanka who were extremely friendly and welcoming. Particular mention to staff at the Covanro hotel in Veyangoda when we were delayed there due to flight cancellations, who checked in on us, offered to arrange a free day trip as they worried we were bored (we declined, it wouldn't have been right to accept) and were generally great people.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Sujan was brilliant. From the off he set the scene for a good group interaction and made clear what he needed from us and we could expect from him in return. He was fun, and funny, as well as being incredibly well organised and unflappable. He was knowledgeable about history, nature, botany, society and also had a great handle on how to manage group dynamics which made things run incredibly smoothly. He lives his job and his country and was a fantastic ambassador for Sri Lanka.

Cycling Vietnam

Our guide and trip leader, Son Nguyen was truly outstanding in every measure of leadership, Communications, planning, patience, expertise as a biker, safety, team building and a credit to his country as a fantastic ambassador. He made all of us feel welcomed and comfortable with a sense of humor and listening skills that build our group into a family.

Most Inspirational Moment

The final dinner at our guide, Son Nguyen's home, Whale Island and our challenging rife up High Van Pass.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Just an outstanding person who loves his profession and a wonderful ambassador of Vietnam. Funny, smart, perceptive, proud of his country and terrific at building our 'family'. Works tremendously hard and tireless. Son is the A team and a leader who should be tapped to train other guides. He made our vacation one of the best holidays we had ever had and we will recommend him to our friends.

Discover Sri Lanka

Our trip was really well organised: from the trip notes to the first group meeting, we had clear instructions by email. When we met the local group leader (Sujan), we were impressed with his communications and leadership skills. Throughout the trip, we knew when/where/how the day was going to be organised. We felt safe and well looked after by someone with a high level of professionalism and pride in his country as well as pride in the company. Great customer care after the trip too!!

Most Inspirational Moment

The cycling ride in the countryside, Sigiriya's visit and the hotel where we decided to have a massage treatment in the fantastic hotel we stayed in, the farm visit where we had breakfast and played games.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Caring, funny, able to manage a large group as well as relate to individuals, great at communicating itinerary, efficient in organising arrivals and departure, sense of pride for hos country and his work.

Borneo and the Malaysian Peninsula

Our two guides were very good, Beverley in Borneo and James on the Peninsula. James in particular shared a wealth of information about the country, went out of his way to show us interesting sights and introduced us to great food. The hotels were very good and internal transport comfortable. We were also very lucky to have a small very congenial group of travellers.

Most Inspirational Moment

Borneo and especially the day on the river where we saw orangutans in the wild and lots of other animals and birds. The Orangutang sanctuary was wonderful too but seeing these animals in the wild was a special treat.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Both were very good but James was exceptional. He added things to the itinerary, introduced us to local food in his favourite restaurants, socialised with the group, and organised everything perfectly. He put the well being of the group above and could not have been a better person to have a tour leader.

Highlights of Morocco

Amazing experiences. Great group leader. Group members great company .

Most Inspirational Moment

Staying at riads in Fes & Essaouira and marvelling at architecture, decor and people who lived there in the past. The Hassan II mosque visit in Casablanca. Camel ride over Erg Chebbi. Ridden camels before on previous trips to Jordan and Tunisia but not like this. In a caravan and over 1 hour. Great fun watching over the dunes, quad bikes zipping about and photos . Walking through the palm groves and Amazigh village in Skoura. The hammam experience in Tighza high Atlas. Very basic but it’s invaluable to the people who live in this rural community. Makes you think how privileged we are.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Fouad worked tirelessly even though he was fasting! How did he do the 4 hour hike in the high Atlas while on a fast I do not know. Endurance & devotion to his faith.

Kerala & the Tropical South

Kerala is a lovely place to visit, very clean and hygienic, and with delicious food. We had a very good group of 16 people and an excellent guide Vinod who was knowledgeable, helpful, charming and flexible in meeting the group’s needs.

Most Inspirational Moment

Houseboat stay - so many kingfishers to see, and the serpent eagles. Walk around Nature reserve and seeing a group of elephants with a baby.

Thoughts on Group Leader

He was friendly, knowledgeable, fun, flexible and very well organised. He dealt with all respectfully. One of the best guides.

Discover Costa Rica

Excellent value for money. Superb guide and drive. Lovely hotels and good food.

Most Inspirational Moment

Johnny Villalobos. He's the best guide I have ever encountered

Thoughts on Group Leader

Johnny’s knowledge and enthusiasm was extraordinary. He is without doubt the best guide I have ever encountered. In addition to his incredible talent - spotting and identifying both fauna and flora - he went out of his way to look after the needs of every single member of our group. This included an 87 year old for whom Johnny even organised: a card for us all to sign, a gift and a cake on her birthday which coincided with our last night in San Jose. I feel privileged to have met Johnny - an exceptional naturalist and conservationist, with great wit and a lovely sense of humour plus massive emotional intelligence. I could go on and on …. Suffice it to say, Exodus is very fortunate to have such a talented leader.

India Tiger Safari

The trip was recommended to me by someone who’d done it. I really wanted to see a tiger & this gave me the most game drives across 3 parks – optimising my chances

Most Inspirational Moment

Seeing tigers!

Thoughts on Group Leader

Krishna was passionate about India, it's people & wildlife & this really shone through. He went out of his way to be helpful & make sure we had a good experience e.g. organising an extra game drive for us & organising a celebration of Holi festival for us.
