Borneo Wildlife Discovery

Just booked this leaving on 1st August 2015. So excited! Anybody else also booked?

Hi I'm booked on the trip too !! Can't believe it's next weekend ! Very excited !!

Soo excited. Keep looking at the weather forecast but it seems to be a bit all over the place. I am travelling with my husband John not sure how many of us there are. We are arriving late on Sunday evening as had to move flight due to big family birthday. I have now started sorting things into piles in my room and am feeling a little unsure what to pack! Are you taking leech socks? I will have to sit down this evening and make a list of all my questions for the guide.

I'm a bit like that too !! At least it will be warmer than England at the minute !! I bought some leech socks from Amazon - very fetching they are too !! You can buy them there though I think ! Im not really sure what to take but I do a lot of walking so am taking my walking trousers , a couple of long sleeved shirts plus t shirts vest tops etc . I'm going on Saturday . Are you coming from England ??

Yes travelling out from Heathrow on the Saturday evening, so only about six hours behind. Have sent a list of questions to our guide Roberta but still awaiting a reply. Watched a programme on Borneo last night .. it said one of the wettest places on earth!! Now wondering how wet it can possibly be - at least hot. I work in a school sat least I now have some time off to sort out currency, shopping, lacking etc. My husband will probably still be finishing off work as we arrive at Heathrow knowing him. Have you travelled with Exodus before? What made you choose Borneo?

No this is my first exodus trip, chose Borneo because I wanted to spend a long time in the rainforest. Did a trip a couple of years ago to Peru and spent 2 days in the Amazon and loved it but it wasn't long enough!! Will I cope with 3 weeks though ??!! I'm picking up my currency today , I'm a teacher so have been off for a week too ! Was the program on TV ?? X

The programme I watched was on NatGeoWild, John taped it for me so not sure when it was on originally. I too went to Peru a few years ago with company called Llama. We went to the Puerto Maldonado area and spent a few days before heading off to Cusco, Machu Picchu and Lake Titicaca. Loved the rainforest. We have done a couple of trips with Exodus and have been really impressed with them. I am not a teacher, just a TA, working with Year 6 children which I love. My husband John works in mental health. Looking forward to meeting you in a couple of days.

Sounds like the same trip as I did only I went with g adventures. Looking forward to meeting you both too! At least there'll be 3 of us on the trip!! Happy packing!!

My names Jenni by the way, I can't find how to change the anonymous!!

Hi hope the packings going well!! Just discovered that borneo has the same plugs as us so no.need for adapters. I'm putting everything into plastic bags too!!

It now all makes sense that there has been a full moon as I have been running around like a possessed thing! I think I have everything I need. Next dilemma is fitting it in my case. I gather that are language allowance is 15 kg due to the internal flights. I too have put everything in plastic bags. Although most of it will just go from hotel to hotel. I have checked in on line and have great seats, so that is good. Last year I had to travel back from Africa with my husband one end of the plane and me the other. I am going to pack tonight as I have my father's 80th birthday tomorrow and a big family do. Still all seems a bit unreal until on the plane! See you there!!
