Kenyan visa

Hi we are travelling on the 13th of February - interested to know what people are doing about the Kenyan visa. we have started to complete the online forms but having to upload a photograph to certain requirements will be a bit of a pain. Hoping we can still purchase on arrival and the rules don't change again!

just been through the process of obtaining a visa for my wife and I online via the website supplied by EXODUS. was a fairly lengthy yet simple process. You'll need to have a scan of your passport photo page, a photo headshot of the applicant (we took ours with our iPhone!) and the details supplied by Exodus regarding the addresses to put on the visa. We had them approved and sent through within minutes.
I think they are the only ones you actually need to have prior to arriving, but the sales team will confirm it for you.

let us know if you have any specific problems and i'll try and help with the limited experience i had on the site!

Hi Mark,
We were worried about the stipulations laid down for the photograph. Did you crop your photo to a particular size or did you just send the photo as was?

Hi, also travelling to Kenya on 12th. I used high commission link. Nightmare! Lost pages / did not load/ picture too big! I did crop my picture down and was accepted. However, immediate application status was: "issued". Therefore screen printed to take with me. Wish I had sent my passport off...

Hi, I'm also on the trip to Kenya on the 13th, look forward to meeting you there.
Hope you've sorted your visa, but if you haven't then don't worry as you can still get your visa on arrival. Although Exodus advise you to pay with US$, UK£ are accepted (I'm told by someone who has been recently).
As you can see from other postings, applying on-line isn't that easy. I did it one rainy day recently, it took quite a time as there were 'server problems' at the Kenyan end. I thought it might avoid queueing on arrival but, on reflection, even with the printed e-visa we will presumably have to queue to get passports stamped.
Conclusion: not essential and possibly not worth the effort!

Hi all,
Looking forward to the trip - not long to wait now. Sorted one visa - bit of a faff, but second one sorted in no time once we knew what we were doing!
Some friends travelling with us are planning to obtain visas on arrival. Paul you are probably right we will still have to join a very long queue!!! Kay and Chris

Thanks for all the useful stuff on visas. I'm going on the trip starting 20th Feb but will probably leave getting the visa until I get there. I guess having some recent photos might be helpful.
