Andrew

Hi I'm going on my own, done African safaris & Tigers before, I'm a keen photographer hoping for the perfect shot!

I have concerns that the kit I have might not be warm enough for sitting around looking for elusive felines, what is anybody else taking and firstly for Loren what lens are you taking? Mine is only 200mm so I must be the eternal optimist or scrounger - wanting a copy of the photos others took who were properly prepared.

Andrew – thank you for starting this post. I hope everyone is getting exciting about the March trip. This is going to be an amazing adventure. Hard to believe that departure is less than two months away. The big challenge will be dealing with the cold: both during the day and night. I will be bringing a few extra layers of merino wool and an extra sleeping pad. I look forward to meeting everyone very soon.

Hello Rick, Loren & Michael,
I look forward to meeting you all in 4 weeks time. Rick I also have a 200mm lens, it will have to do, very limited on weight, suggest also you maybe hire a good season 5 sleeping bag & Down Jacket if you do not have them and layer up as Michael suggests with Merino Wool base layers

Hi all, I'm sorting my clothing & sleeping bag, I'll be taking 2 layers of thermal is I did in Iceland where it dropped to -10 although I didn't have to sleep outside. Camera kit wise I'll be taking 200 & 500 lenses.

Nearly there, is everyone ready!!!
