Solo traveler - Inca Trail Comfort

Hello fellow hikers!

6 weeks to departure and I cannot wait to tick off this bucket list adventure.

New to hiking, camping and solo travel so any tips would be much appreciated.

I will be on the 22nd June departure.

What are you looking forward to the most?

How is the training going?

Davina (",)

Hi Davina
I'm a solo traveler too but depart 8th June.
Doing between 8 and 16 mile walks on the north downs each week and as many flights of stairs as I can in preparation.
Arriving at Machu Picchu must be the highlight but I'm also looking forward to the Lake Titicaca extension trip afterwards.

Hi Davina, we are also on your trek. Arriving Cusco 22 June. We are making our own way via a few days in Lima.

Lots of practice hikes and flights of stairs for us too!

See you in Cusco.

Ian and Iola

Hi Davina and other travelers.
I have just arrived back in Cusco having completed the Inca Trail in Comfort and I must say that lots of stairs is the way to prepare. The climb up to Dead Woman's Pass and down again on day 2 is hard going but the whole experience has been fantastic. Our guide, Frank, and team of porters took care of absolutely everything so all we had to do was hike and enjoy the trip.

Regards Rob

Hi Davina, Ian and Iola,
I am also on the 22June trip and looking forward to it, and also a solo traveller.

I've been walking part of the South west coast path around Lulworth to get in practice as it is very steep with lots of ups and downs, and also lots of cardio classes at the gym, but still a little anxious about dead woman's pass! Also scared of snakes, so hope we don't see any
