Trip - AYB - CLASSIC TANZANIA SAFARI, Departure Date - Saturday 22nd August 2009

Hi,

I am on the Classic Tanzania trip in August and am starting to get my stuff together. The sleeping bag that I have (3 seasons) is quite bulky compared to blankets and sheets. What do you recommend.

Also if you have any tips or suggestions that are not in the trip notes, I would appreciate it.

We recommend a sleeping bag for the trip but you could get away with a sheet and a good blanket. I would recommend taking the best pair of binoculars you can and a decent sized zoom lens, I have used http://www.lensesforhire.co.uk/ in the past and recommend them.Nick - Trip Manager

Hi Nick,

Thanks for the information, i will stick with the sleeping bag. I have a good pair of binoculars and i have a 200 mm lense for my Nikon D60. Do you think that should be enough or should i go higher.

I also understand that the migration has started early this year. Does that have any effect on seeing it when we go?
